From the Dolphins luncheon today:
"Speaking at a stage set up in the middle of a large ballroom, Tannenbaum introduced a slide presentation entitled “The Miami Dolphins Factory, where we manufacture optimism.”

The presentation then broke down the Dolphins organization’s various departments, from scouting to coaching to sports performance to analytics. Tannenbaum also pointed out the hard work done by the players during the offseason, including a chart that showed the players who had voluntarily shown up the most to the team facility in the offseason topped by guard Billy Turner with 36 days.

The presentation ended with Head Coach Joe Philbin holding a fuel pump, which is when Tannenbaum concluded the message he had started about hard work fueling optimism."

Between working out hard at the facility and working against Suh, I think Billy will be at least an adequate RG this year. Whether we need an Evan Mathis remains to be seen. I hope we have finally found our guards..... Phins UP!

I rewatched the first drive from Thursday tonight. O-Line looked very solid, clean backfield most of the time. I was watching Thomas closely due to all the criticism the guy has had (I know often justified from prior play) and he was consistently pushing his man back, sometimes to the ground, and finding the next guy. Not bad for first preseason game in training camp of oline doom n gloom..

Good for Turner. Good for Joe. Great leadership by Mike Tannenbaum.

Hard work ALWAYS pays off. He's gonna do just fine.
It's important, but it doesn't always pay off. The NFL is littered with guys who worked really really hard and didn't make it.
Don't get me wrong, I'm rooting for Billy Turner to make it and I'm optimistic but it isn't just about working hard. It's also working smart.

I agree. For those who do not know, his dad played for the Giants in the 80's. Hopefully his father has instilled in him the work effort needed to suceed and I am sure he has.
Interesting to note that his Dad was a RB.

Let's hope that Suh and the boys did the OL a favor by blowing it up consistently in camp.

In life, in general, yes it does.

maybe we should worry about jason fox a little more than thomas and turner. from all i read about how gimpy albert is, it sure looks like fox is gonna be the lt opening day...

Working smarter not harder is the key IMO.

Conceptually, it should.
