Bloggin from the Bubble

From the reports I've read, every seems to be playing with the different teams. I highly doubt Lemon will be starting over Green in anything other than a preseason game...

folks... it was day one, cmon... if you already know what one guy can do... or will do, "this" is the time to find out if the "other guy" can work there too. We NEED to know about Cleo, furthermore, the better he does, the more value he will have, both to us on the feild and in trade. This is good stuff, it means there is competition and learning everywhere.

It sounds as though the rookie linemen were owned by the veterans. Not encouraging news about Alabi but it has already being reported that he is out of shape.

I wouldnt read too much into which team players were lined up at this stage.Coaches want to know how the players fit in in their depth chart and I imagine there will be considerable amount of experimentation before training camp is over particularly among the offensive linemen. :)

http://www.palmbeachpost.com/blogs/...bubble.html?cxntfid=blogs_inside_the_dolphins QB Cleo Lemon is working with first team, while Trent Green is with the second team.

Cameron can’t be seriously tinkering with the idea of not starting Green after the rigamoral the organization went through to get him.

- Bedard here to chime in with a couple thoughts to finish things off:

Good report. Looks like Truck still has plenty of gas left in the tank so far. There's a good reason that Zach and Channing like Truck on that D-line. There's a good reason why he's been in the NFL as long as he has. The man is a beast. Hell, he might play til he's 42 for all we know. He must have good genes or something. Some players are like that. I just hope he can play hard for all 4 quarters all season.

Looks like Rodrique Wright might be the real deal. Looks like he might have gotten a raw deal in the 2006 draft coming out of Texas with that shoulder problem. They said he was good in college. That's about all I recall about him. That and he needs to make sure he plays hard on every single play and be a "high motor" guy, etc. Looks like we're in good shape on the D-line. Tom Brady and Chad Pennington better be ready. :D

The highlight was DT Keith Traylor absolutely abusing rookie center Samson Satele and then knocking RB Ronnie Brown on his back 4 yards behind the line

Hopefully Satele uses that as motivation. He shouldn't feel too bad. Traylor is no joke! I love watching him and we're very lucky he decided to play this year.

Cleo has been with our offense longer. maybe Cam is letting Green in to the offense thinking that he should put him on second D so he can get used to it before putting him on first D. maybe, not. just a thought.

Since Truck will probably be the starter, Wright should have no problem playing hard EVERY down he is in there. He should be trying to prove something every time he has the chance in any game.

Satele has sounded like he has had some trouble with our NT's thus far. I realize he would rarely go at one of these one on one, it's still not the greatest sign to see him getting beaten so badly...

I am glad he is getting a chance to learn

he will be just fine

Today Satele just found out how much more difficult the NFL is when he got abused by Traylor a 360 pound defensive tackle. It is better that the rookies are struggling now instead of a week before the regular season.

well regardless of whether Alabi is in shape or not we better sign a vetran olineman for insurance purposes.
and let me explain something here while i am thinking of it. when i mentioned that we should trade a wr or rb for a olineman in another thread i meant that instead of cutting a wr or rb we package them for a position that we need like a left tackle or guard.

i dont want us to cut talented players when we need more draft picks.
the bottom line here is we still need some help and the oline is a key factor here.

i am not worried about hadnot i think he will be fine.
