We have tyreek hill and Waddell and get 11 points on dry surface. If that ain't a mike McDaniel problem.i don't what is. The mcdaniel era should be over and blow it up please cuz this will never work the way it is set up currently. Make some trades and get Shedeur Sanders and Deion in here to coach and let's get the ship righted
Here is my difficulty with any blowup, but, before I start, there clearly needs to be changes.
First a digression. Talking head last night said (correctly) 2-3 times, GB's D was disciplined. Always knew what they should do. And it showed. Using the PFF numbers (yeah, I know), GB D had 2 players ranked in top 20% and 4 in bottom 20%, yet, for the most part shut down Miami.
With that as background, deluding ourselves into thinking any player not in the top 5 at their position should be jettisoned is denying the reality of NFL football. Blow the whole thing up? Here is my blowup and in this post I'm ignoring players. Won't happen - I'm stepping away from reality
I'm not opposed to Mcd staying and admit his play-calling has improved. Still, this passing on some OTAs, pulling Mostert for a fumble but no problems with JHill, going conservative at start of 2H, his obsession with small WRs, . . . That has to stop. Even with the improvement in play-calling, a 'real' OC is needed.
Weaver? Back to 2nd paragraph. The D doesn't look prepared for various situations. He allows the opponent's most targeted receiver to run free for 4 quarters. If the O is killing the D with out routes, Weaver responds with . . . no, wait, he doesn't respond. Adjustments are s-l-o-o-o-w.
Crossman. GONE!!!! I'm guessing Mcd doesn't have the toughness to fire someone.
If I'm in the 'blow it up' mindset, those are my 1st 3 targets.
