Im not giving up on Saban yet, I think he will be a good coach for us, but I think he needs to get his players in here..

Imo, we need to trade both Zach and Jason and bring in an influx of young talent along with a PRO OFFENSIVE LINE.

Anyone else think we should trade anyone we can get value for?

You don't win by blowing up the team. You just have to weed out the guys who aren't producing either because they're incapable or unwilling and replace them. I think that's all that will be necessary next year.

I think blowing up the team last year is what's hurting us right now. While it wasn't a huge blow up the team is quite different. We our secondary is quite different from what it was, with Daniels (when he plays) and tillman as the only starters from last year. Then along the line look at the reshuffling and bringing in of new players. James and Carey were the only players in their original position at the beginning of the season. 2 completely new quarterbacks. Not to mention new coordinators.

Blow up the team and we'll be rebuilding for 4 years instead of 1 or 2.

This team's top priority should be an LT and a guard or center. I'd rather not replace more than that in one year because these guys need time to gel. If we try to replace 4 guys like in 2004, we'll end up with another year like 2004.

Get Daunte back in there, healthy and with an upgraded OL, and we'll have an offense that can put up some points. Fire Mularky (we should have listened to those Bills fans) and bring in a coordinator who can get these guys on the same page. Spend a 2nd or 3rd on an NT, find another safety somewhere and we'll be in decent shape.

My dream offseason would look like this:

Trade Booker for a first day pick (which sadly may be a 3rd rounder at this point -- that's the value I'll use).

In free agency, pick up a linebacker capable of starting and a couple of decent utility reserves on the OL. Bring in other roleplayers as needed.

In the draft, trade down again for picks. Move around in the draft. End up with:

- A tackle in the first
- A safety in the second
- A center in the third
- A wide receiver to bring along over a couple of years in the third
- A quality blocking H-back, TE, and/or FB in the fourth
- A kicker in the fifth
- Decent prospects with the rest of the picks

I really think that with that little, this team might be ready.

I agree with Skape...whether we want Saban here or not, there is no way in hell Huizenga will fire him (this is the moron that didn't fire Wanny after 2002). So the next best option is to give this bunch of overpaid losers an enema. Get rid of them. Yes, we'll suck for a year or two, but JEEEZ, we suck now and we're overpaying these losers to suck for us.
Enough of this damned BS, get rid of them. Let them get their SB rings on another team then retire. This team ain't seeing a SB until we get rid of the dead weight.

Thomas and Taylor need to stay. Besides, they're at the twilight of their careers, and with the salaries they're owed, no one will want to assume responsibility for paying them. They're shining stars, and I want to see them finish their careers here.

That said, I do think we're going to have to replace the defense starting this offseason, just because of age. We've already started that, I think, with the revised secondary and the drafting of Allen.

We need to fix the offense before the defense retires.

I dont know about blowing up the whole team. Here is a list of players i wish were gone next week.

Olindo Mare, missed 2 last week, then the 1 this week. The whole time i kept thinking please dont let it come down to kicking for overtime.

Sammy Morris, turnover, then the penalty on the punt.

Keith Adams, i dont remember what he did, but i know he had a special teams penalty last week and another today.

T. Tillman, I am so sick of this guy. Seems like he is always out of position.

I am ready to get a look @ J Allen, K Vickerson, Fredrick Evans, and Y Bell.

J Allen and Y Bell cant be any worse.

i disagree, he had some good catches, but dropped some CRUCIAL catches...he was a good replacment for booker, just....dropped some easy ones, and that touchedown was inexcusible {sp?}

i was soooooo high, just KNEW we were gunna drive and score, and then....i got body slammed like a wrestler...im sad....soo sad

this ...i dunno...i cant keep doing this to myself, i feel bad for the older dolfans...who have gone thru this longer, but atleast....atleast you saw them IN a superbowl...i was born in 1987...i have lived off of pure being raised a dolfan. and falling in love with my towns team {i live in palm beach} i love the dolphins to death, when they lose i have a bad BAD day...when they win, iam ontop of the world...but jesus...i felt we had this...we really did...im sad...sorry guys...
