when we win to go 2-2 and destroy the raiders, the division is ours for the taking, then two weeks later we fold against Green Bay but play well for most part and its time to fire the whole staff. Philbin has been the same below average coach the whole time, no surprised there. we lost to a good team no moral victories we are the same 7-9, 8-8 team we continue to be under Philbin.

Phins are who they are average team with horrible coach. Most of the board got super excited when we beat oakland i remind everyone been almost a year since they won

Dude, whatever. Now leave me in peace so I can finish bleeding out

We would have been sitting pretty with a win today, angst is from only playing 2 qtrs a game and taking one step forward followed by 3 steps back. Look at SD battling with Oak today, need to win those but also need to take one from the elite once in a while, especially when it's within your grasp.

I've been saying for weeks that Joe Philbin needs to be replaced even if this team wins 11 games. People said I was nuts when I posted that. People probably still think I'm nuts.

Our coaching made some horrible decisions in today's game and IMO completely cost us the game. I'm talking about the decision not to simply run as much clock as possible when up by 4 points with Green Bay out of timeouts, I'm talking about the decision to call a timeout while the clock was running on 4th down as the Packers were hurrying up to get to the line to run a play, I'm talking about the decision to leave Wheeler alone in man coverage on the last play of the game. I'm talking about the decision to run the ball on 4th and goal at the 1 yard line after it'd been stuffed twice, rather than roll the QB out on a boot or something. Just dumb coaching decisions across the board.

You can blame Wheeler. You can blame Grimes. You can blame Fields. You can blame Tannehill. You can blame anyone you want, but ultimately you have to blame the coaching staff for setting the players up to fail.

Those of us realists after the Raiders knew it was the Raiders pathetic team about why we did so good.

Its the usual suspects around here that are putting lipstick on a pig.

We shredded a bad team like we should have. Today we lost probably the game of the week in the NFL so far. It sucks, at least it was a NFC loss but we have to defend our stadium better. Offense played like crap in the first half but I believe even if we were able to punch it in on that one drive , Green bay would have answered back. On the other hand if we take the FG might be a win today. It's easy to sit back and judge, hopefully the the coaches and players learn from today.

No it's not, like anywhere else even when 80 percent feel one way, there is still going to be 10-20 percent that think differently and just don't get it. Almost everyone here could care less about blowing out the Raiders.

All right, Ebenezer Scrooge. You're like the other handful of posters who only post when they can say "mehhhh look how bad life sucks mehhhhh." Nobody cares. Go away.

Agreed. When a team fails across the board it shows unpreparedness, lack of discipline and ineptness at the fundamentals. How many terrible arm-tackles did we see today? Giving up on a play while chasing a receiver/ QB? I see it all the time. The lack of heart and failure at the fundamentals. That is bad coaching. At least today we didn't cough the ball up like we had in previous games (except for Turnoverhill's pics)

We are not the titanic yet.But we are headed towards the iceberg fast.I will agree with some the season is not over yet and i will agree with others who say 7-9.But i think many of us better become realistic. We are not headed to the playoffs.I think many of us myself included at times look at this team through rose colored glasses.Believe me our only guaranteed victory this year was the raiders. But i must be insane cause i still love them.

How do you explain SD beating Oakland by 3? Oakland isn't as awful as you think. Miami just over-performed their usual mediocrity in London.
