Talk about a voice of reason. Pretty high praise for Beck. Understands the situation better than most. Some people could learn a lesson from him.

Or is Griese making excuses for Beck???

He thinks Beck can do it. I don't know who'd know better, or care more, than Bob.

Bob definately knows a little something about playing the quarterback position. Keep in mind, when Beck was drafted, Bob Griese was the first notable "Miami Dolphins Alumni" to call him (Beck mentioned this in his Introductory Press Conference) and welcome him to the Dolphins. To me, Bob's endorsement of Beck speaks volumes.

I'll bet a Million dollars no one on the planet wants to succeed more then Beck. That's just one of many reasons I want the kid to make it. I hope we don't waste another first day pick on the QB position.

and THIS is why the finz STILL do not have a qb.

every year, no one wants to draft one, they dont want
to pay for one in free agency and they dont want to
trade for one.

i guess a pro bowl caliber qb will drop from the sky into
the finz lap and will play for the leauge minimum for most
of his career.

you HAVE to TAKE A CHANCE on QB'S!! that is just the nature
of the position. you have to collect them and pay them, other
wise, you wont have one!! sux, but that is how it is and it wont
be changing anytime soon.

the more qb's you have, the better your chance of finding THE
guy. plus, they are ALWAYS good for trade bait.

No it's not, look how many QB's we've had since Marino. The reason we still don't have a QB is because the talent you put around them and the coaching they are subjected to. Whens the last time the Dolphins had a serious threat at WO or Oline that was dominant?? And we haven't had a good HC since JJ. Common now, it aint that hard to figure out.

What are you talking about. THEY INVESTED A HIGH 2nd RD PICK on JOHN BECK.
All the good teams actually DEVELOP players, they don't expect them to fall from the sky.
Perhaps we should use ALL our draft picks on QB's just so the numerical odds are on our side. :rolleyes:
