Bob Griese Previews Dolphins-Cowboys Game

I know Bob's not everybody's favorite announcer but there is some good information here. Bob favors the OC being in the booth upstairs but it seems both Lazor and Tannehill favor him on the field. Ryan says he gets the play in about 10 seconds faster not having to go through the QB coach Taylor.That's a huge difference so i'm hoping that's way they do. Bob really likes both guys.
Also news to me that Griese actually called the plays from the booth for Woodley and Strock one year. Don't remember that.

Lets pay them back for all the ****ty coaches , players , GM's and VP's of football they have given us through the years.

LOL I love the notion but that would take a decade, let alone one pre-season game. haha

With all the new ipad gadgets on the sidelines I'm now a little undecided about coordinators being in the booth. I used to favor it but now... not so sure.
 
Getting plays 10 seconds sooner is quite a difference, I hope Lazor stays on the sideline
 
That's what i'm thinking. i also like what Bob said about that giving the QB more time at the line of scrimmage to look over the D and possibly move people around or change plays.
Maybe put Taylor in the booth. I want Lazor and Ryan on the exact same page.

Huge difference right there. And without question, having the OC on the field is better for the players. I've never see the look Tannehill had on his face before, standing on the sideline talking to Lazor, as what I saw in preseason. Focused and involved.

My opinion of Griese is high, he has good observations from a QB point of view, and I always listen. It doesn't matter to me that he's a little Alzheimer-ish in some moments, because he knows what he's talking about.
 
I think Bob is great in his analysis. And I love his mistakes. It's like your favorite drunk uncle calling the game. He's Miami and he's ours. I don't mind his guffaws at all, something traditional with Bobs broadcasts
