Bob Griese Suspended For Racist Remark On Air

As a commentator, Griese's a moron. That was totally ignorant and inappropriate.. But hypocrisy be thy name when it comes to big time broadcasting: despite folks like the so-called "Reverend"Wright's (Wrong's) repeated antisemitism, and Jesse Jackson's 'heimie town" slurs on the lunatic liberal side, or Coulter's or Limbaugh's blatant racism on the conservative wing-nut side, the networks can't get enough of them, validate them with credibility and allow them to spew their biases with little censure.
So give me a break about suspending a dope for a taco remark.

i agree everyone is way tooooo sensitive about this stuff. but, griese has to know better that that.
 
He is horrible as an announcer, I will be happy when he is replaced as the dolphisn preseason tv personality. Keith Simms seems to be doing well on the radio, I would like to seem him get a shot.

Bob can use this break to hone his craft. I'd suggest reading 'John Madden's Original & Profound Thoughts on Football' due out any day now...
 
Not a very bright thing to say and not really that funny. I hope it was more of just not thinkin than him being racist.

Does he really make jokes? That's news to me. I thought he just gave painfully boring observances.
 
If this gets him off of announcing Dolphins preseason games, then I'm all for it. Seriously, that was painful last summer.
