Bonds on Bonds

The first episode is finish. To be honest, ive always been a big fan of Bonds, and ive always honestly in my heart felt like he never injected steroids, knowing they were steroids, into his body to cheat. I dont know how i feel now with all the books.

i truly feel sorry for bonds. the way fans have conducted theirselves towards him, the way the media focus' on him. The way the commish is now doing a investigation on him. Baseball is my favorite sport, and has always been my first love. i played my hole life, and i do hate to see people cheat like that. but i cant help but feel extremely sorry that everyone is focusing on him, despite him doing it before there were official rules agaisnt it, and supposibly doing it after McGwire and Sosa took the league by storm with them.

Anyone else see this episode, and your thoughts?

I don't think there's any question Bonds is one of the all time greats however I think the steriods have made him into a baseball legend (something that I don't think he ever was nor should be).

He beat mark mcgwire in homerun derby before he went on steriods so he is still great how do we know babe ruth was never on steriods or micky mantle or even hank arron.

Like I said I think Bonds is a great player but shouldn't be considered in the same class as the guys you just mentioned. I don't feel that's a knock on Bonds but more of a complement to those 3 players.

I highly doubt Ruth or Mantle were on the juice, they were however guilty of being under the influence of boozes.

I highly doubt the Babe was on the juice, I think he was just that good. But you do have a good point. There's really no way of knowing if anyone ever was clean.

He treated the media like trash all these years and now that they have the juice on him (pun intended) he expects them to become his friend. He's the reason he's in the situation he's in. If he was even half way decent to the media he might have some sympathizers but since Barry chose to be a jerk his whole career now he is getting what he deserves. He made his bed, now he has to lay in it. You don't even know how many young reporters Bonds has embarrased and made a fool of during his career. What goes around comes around!

Exactly right and that's way guys like McGwire, Palmeiro (anyone remember him?) and Giambi seem to be getting a free pass. They have been nice with the media in their careers so the media isn't going out of their way to attack them like they are with Bonds and Sheffield to a lesser extent.

yeah i totaly agree with that. he is an adult and he has been a jerk and all but for somereason i still feel sorry for the guy. He still has the best swing ive ever seen and steroids arent responsible for that.

i just dont like the way no one talks about mark mc guire and some others that were obvious users

if they are doing an investigation they should do one on all players not only single out bonds
