1. Clay Matthews- This kid is a stud and a hard worker. Just what we are looking for. The former walk on is a Parcells player and can be a definite possibilty to solidy our LB corps next year.

2a. Sean Smith- Corner is a glaring need right now and he can start Will Allan from Day 1 and be a shut down corner. He shut down Julio Jones in the Sugar Bowl, and jones is a top 15 pick possibly one day so we know he has talent.

2b. Ron Brace- A NT of the future, Ron is huge and can move the pile. Not having many moves, he is still good against the run. With learning from J-Ferg he can become a real good NT. He may be taken before this so Terrance Taylor also could be here.

3. Paul Kruger- A LB/DE hybrid, some may questioning two LB's with our first four picks. Well, Matthews can play the inside position, and Kruger is more of a outside rush. Either way we need some outside rush and he can bring it. He also has a lot of untapped potential.

4. Ramses Barden- A WR on day 2 that is a project. He was productive in college and can be a good addition opposite Ginn with Bess in the slot.

5. Domonique Johnson- Sparano said "you can never have to many corners". Well this will be another one to add. He can come in and play some nickel and dime and can learn behind Will Allan for a year. We would have two HUGE corners with Dom 6'0 and Smith 6'1

7a. Roger Allen- This guard was a dominant force in his teams TD's. He had over 100 knockdowns. He is a brute and can add depth to our O-line maybe even making Murphy despensible.

7b. Darius Hill- A Ball State H back is someone we might pick up being at his pro day. A down senior year has turned him into a 7th round prospect. Even with his stats he can bring versatility and special teams play.

7c.Scott Burley- OT from Maryland who played guard and OT. Is big and can provide depth.

Not just boomer but what is the feeling on my mock

its sexy, just too sexy...
I love your first 2 picks, which are very possible...
Ron Brace might be gone by our 2a, and WILL NOT be there for 2b, no way..
Kruger is a late first-2nd round pick, not 3rd round, no way..
ramses? i love him but doubtful he's there in late 4th, ALOT of teams need a 6'6 WR..
Dominque is a 3rd-4th round... really talented

Dude i like who you like, alot.. i mean if this happens its the best draft ever.. but your underrating too many guys, so it isn't a realistic mock at all

Looks good, but I don't know about drafting 2 OLB's. That would give us Porter, Roth, Wake, and 2 high round draft picks. Somebody has to get cut or moved. Also, I expect our FO to draft a return specialist somewhere in the mid to late rounds, so whatever WR we take, I'd expect him to have some kind of KR experience. Not sure if Barden has that. People are forgetting that KR/PR was pretty weak last year, we definitely need an upgrade there.

I like it, I just don't know if a tall fast CB will last until the late 5th. I'm not a big fan of Mathews but the concept of a guy that can play ILB and OLB is good. I'd love for Cushing to be there but I doubt that's gonna happen.

The corner is not that fast. Kruger can go 3rd with a troubled past. And I said with no brace then terrance taylor.

I did a comparison between Clay Matthew and Conor Barwin.

Clay had 3 more tacles than Conor last year.

Othe than that, in every aspect of the game, from stats to combine events to IQ and intangibles, Barwin surpasses Matthews.

Example: Barwin is bigger,faster,stronger,taller.

Barwin had almost twice as many TFL's, over twice as many sacks,
Barwin had 7PBU and Clay had 2
Barwin blocked 3 kicks Clay didn't block any
Barwin is known for having excellent ball skills, Clay is known for horrible ball skills.
How Mattews gets rated a 1st rounder and Barwin a 2nd is a mystery to me.
I think it is school predjudice.

I think Brace would be a complete waste. He won't even make the roster ahead of Soliai or maybe Cohen on the PS. If Cohen is eligible again, not sure.

The same with Barden. I don't see him beating out London, or even Wilford for that matter, seeing as how it costs us a mil .5 to in dead cap to cut him.
He wouldn't even make the 53 man roster in all likelyhood, especially if Camarillo is coming back.

Johnson could be a diamond in the rough. Pretty rough though.

I don't like Kruger, just predjudice I guess.

When we had no FS,I really wanted to draft Sean Smith but now I don't know. He is a pretty big ? at NFL CB.

Can't wait to see how it all shakes out.

The difference between barwin and matthews is that barwin was the vocal point of their d while matthews had to go behind rey, cush, mays, and fili and he still made plays. When I say go behind I mean in terms of plays designed for him.

heres my opinion, ricky wont be here for to much longer.. hes not the ricky of old and we need beef at rb ala brandon jacobs.. what we will need is a younger ricky to absolutely compliment ronnie, i say the next beast of the east is gonna be Javon Springer.. Michigan State.. but we better keep this one quit because. he may go to new england first or tampa or seattle etc. pitt got ther beast of a back last yr. Mendenhall

You are correct but Barwin was the focal point to the opposing offense to block, Mathews was 4/5 guys down that list for opposing offenses.

Barwin is also a wicked athlete which makes him to me the best pick for our 2a pick.

Great point. I still think we go WR, CB, OLB on the first day. But as you said, Ricky is over the hill and we need a compliment to Ronnie so we might draft one in the later rounds. I think it depends on how highly our F.O. thinks of Jalen Parmele

Thank you at least someone finally gets it around here.

Parmele isn't here anymore.

Not quoting the rest to keep the thread clean.

Where exactly are you drawing these stats from?
According the Combine Barwin is only marginally faster and taller than Clay Matthews. Matthews in fact bench pressed more reps than Barwin. Barwin ran a 4.66, Matthews ran a 4.67. Barwin is 6'.35'' tall, Matthews is 6'.31''.

Matthews bench pressed 225 23 reps compared to 21 reps for Barwin. Matthews is stronger for whatever bench press reps are worth.

Barwin does have 16 pounds on Matthews weighing in at 256 vs 240 for Matthews.

With that said I do like this Barwin kid after learning these things about him. What hurts him is that he played DE in a weaker conference than Matthews.
