......on the game last night?

(sorry my friends across the pond, but there was a huge soccer match her last night in London, Chelsea v Boomers team Liverpool in the European Cup semi final)

Boomer you're a Reds fan aswell?

The good thing about last nights game is that the 2nd game will be really really exciting.

Go Reds!

Scottie... my dad is a huge a Chelsea fan and he was at the game last night.

He wasn't too impressed.

The second-leg is going to be a great occasion. I think Chelsea have the upper hand because of the away goals but I also think that Liverpool will fancy their chances in a one off game at Anfield.

Chelsea will score at Anfield. Duff and Robben will start and the game will be more open than the tense affair last night. Liverpool were superb last night but they did not score an away goal, and, that will be a deciding factor in the end. Chelsea will be at the final in Istanbul on 25th May.

Milan will win the final anyway, IMO... they beat my boys in the 2nd round :fire: and are just quality.

 You sound like that tosser Moronho.

You're in for a big disappointment :fire:

Liverpool were well organized defensively but Hyypia and Traore were poor, especially in the first half. Thought we(CFC) were in good control until Robben came on for Tiago. Robben is not fit and the loss of Tiago gave LFC the advantage in the middle of the park(3 vs 2).

Losing Xabi for the second leg is HUGE, he completely dictates the play for the Reds as well as sitting back and leaving Gerrard(who had dental surgery yesterday, btw) to make those forays up front(which often leads to the team being unbalanced and tactically poor). Baros is PISS POOR and Cissé is a ways off from looking a player(due to his injury).

I wouldn't count on Chelsea to be piss poor two matches in a row. I think Liverpool were lucky to get a below par effoprt from us Blues last night, but did not take advantage by scoring. A score draw sees Chelsea through, thus we are in a comfortable position.

Shouldn't be a good night on Tuesday though for sure. Chelsea through, 2-1.(I hope)

Are you joking? Hyypia was arguably man of the match after Carragher!

That game was a lot easier than I thought it would be, the only time Chelski were really on top was for about 15 mins after half-time, the rest was comfortable. They brought Robben on because Tiago was a nonentity and to try and spark off their attack, which is hard anyway with a donkey like Drogba up front.

Losing Xabi is a blow but not a huge one, Liverpool have done fine without him most of the season and especially against Juve and Leverkusen.

Liverpool have done fine? LOL ya, wrestling with Bolton and Everton; you lot are mustard mate.

There's no club quite like Liverpool. By that I mean I've never seen a set of fans get so excited about a 0-0 away draw in a Champs League semi-final. All their bloody glory supporting fans from London have come crawling back out the woodwork, going on about Anfield and the Kop.

I've been up there about 10 times to see Chelsea play Liverpool and I've never EVER been intimidated. Most over-rated atmosphere in the country. Their fans turn on them after 20 minutes or so if they aren't winning and it really is pathetic.

I've seen nothing all season to suggest Liverpool can beat Chelsea in this game. They beat a piss poor Juventus team and that is it (the other 0-0 draw that has defined their season LOL). Bayer Leverkusen...who? Nearly knocked out by Olimpiakos...who?

You don't seem to realize you are playing mentally the toughest team this country has possibly ever seen. We've come back from adversity. We've gone behind twice to Arsenal and got a draw, drawn 0-0 at the Bridge with United and beaten them at Old Trafford, come back from the dead against Barcelona to destroy them, survived against Bayern Munich, battled through injuries to virtually every key player in our team, held on to our lead at the top. What have Liverpool done? 25 good minutes against Juve.

If you lot had played Barcelona or Bayern Munich you'd be dead already. Fact is we've knocked out the cream of the crop. We're 30+ points clear. We've beaten you 3/4 this season. Whatever happens from here on out is irrelevant.

and to try and spark off their attack, which is hard anyway with a donkey like Drogba up

We'd all love consistent quality like Baros!

By the way...who scored the goal that basically killed you in the Carling Cup? lololol.

And imagine what we'd be like if we had a great centre forward...we'd have beaten you in the Carling C....oh wait...we'd have won the Premi...hang on...beaten Barcel...no that ain't it...hell I don't know what more we'd have done!

Good luck to you on Tuesday, if you do win I'll be cheering you on in the Final. But don't give me this muggy plastic scouser ****e and start giving me "it was comfortable". Frank didn't have his shooting boots on. If he did, you lot would have had to "calm down, calm down" a lot in the last week

They don't like him because he shut their fans up at the Carling Cup Final lol.

 We'll see. If I remember rightly Riise didn't have a bad chance either did he, and one of the main reasons Chelski have been so good this season is thanks to having one of the best 'keepers in the world to make saves like that one from Baros, take the blue-tinted specs off for a minute mate. I can't remember Dudek actually having a save to make, so what's so wrong with me saying it was comfortable? It was, I wasn't perched on the edge of my seat all night like I usually am for our games in Europe.

Talking about the 'atmosphere' at Anfield is a laugh as well, nowhere else in England matches it on a European night, as the Chavs will soon find out. Why don't you go up there and see what a real crowd is like, because your boys were useless last week. I heard more noise from the West Brom fans when we were beating them 5-0!

Who's excited about a 0-0 anyway, I'd much rather we nicked an away goal. But no matter, it's about time we beat you and if there's any justice in the world, then a club with some class and history will come out on top against a plastic team whose achievements are solely down to spending £211m in two seasons ;)

The Chavs? How are Chelsea chavs lol?

For the record my two bets friends are Liverpool season ticket holders. I was there for the Birmingham, Bolton and Leverkusen games. Completely over-rated fan support: full of glory seeking Londoners. The Kop is the ONLY stand with ANY atmosphere. And it is nowadays hugely over-rated. I don't doubt it was once good, but in the same way i don't doubt Liverpool were once good.

The reason Chelsea were quiet on Tuesday, for the record, is that the tickets are being allocated in a new way and it got severely messed up so many of our most vocal supporters (like myself) were stuck in the East stand or left without a ticket. If you want to talk scary, passionate and loud fans 'mate' I dare you to come into the 'So' bar, Wetherspoons or, The Slug and Lettuce and The Imperial before a Chelsea game. Dare you. No-one is intimidated by Anfield cos it's full of tourists and men who talk like women.

(BTW I'm assuming you're English and a regular at Anfield...am I right?)

Finally, a team with some class? Don't make me laugh. Moaning about everything and everyone for 20 years doesn't make you classy. Blaming every other poor buggar for events surrounding your fans doesn't make you classy.
