David Boston's outstanding, even surprising, outing against the Chicago Bears may be paying dividends.

Although the final decision has not been made, it seems as if Boston is about to supplant Derrius Thompson in the Dolphins third-down (passing down) offense.

Boston has been working at the X receiver spot with Chris Chambers on the other side and Marty Booker in the slot this week. Previously, Booker and Chambers were on the outside and Thompson was in the slot.

No surprise. Boston is a much more gifted athlete and better reciever than DT.

I'm ready to hear that Gilmore passed him as well.

I was wondering when this would finally happen. I think that Boston played pretty good in the game Monday night. Hopefully he will continue to get even better.

i would be very happy to see Boston replace Thompson in the third down offense. he has a lot more talent and is a much better athelete

Wait a minute....isnt Boston suspended the 1st 4 games. Why give him the number 3 spot when he cant even play until October. And what if DT does well the first 4 games..does he get the spot back. I think this is a bit premature.

Boston served his suspension last season, he isn't suspended any games this season.

He's not suspended.

Don't kill me for this, because I love CC, and D-Boss is one of my favorites, but Gilmore has run the Smoothest Routes this Preseason in Camp. It helps that he is a good runner. Booker should be in the slot, Boston and Champers on the outside. We can't forget Randy.

REALLY??? Man where the hell have I been?? DOH!

I thought he still had to serve it. Anyway thats AWESOME news then!!

w00t!!!!
