Boston media now recognizing tannehill as a rising franchise QB and star and its time you doubters do the same. Once he starts using his legs more this kid is gonna be a lethal weapon. Get ready.

I agree, but don't expect Tannehill to use his legs as much as people believe or hope....Tannehill is a pocket passer 1st and foremost, and will only run, when there is absolutely nothing there, or on a bootleg here and there just to keep the defense honest.

Expect Tannehill to average between 15-40 yards game to game, when he is successful.

I don't think using his legs more is the key to his continued improvement...

On another thread I posted an analysis of his overhyped, yet still excellent draft classmate Luck over his 2-2 record (2wins vs TN, 2 losses against winning teams) since Reggie Wayne went down, as for awhile I've been contending that if you either add Reggie's '12 total TDs, ypg and total yds to Tannehill or subtracted them from Luck, you'd have pretty similar stats except Luck's greater number of interceptions. Anyway, since YPA seems to be the sweetened flavor of the month around here, I determined that over that 4 game span (since we're talking about THill's latest improvement) it was 7.24 vs Luck's 6.01.

So there are a few things you can deduce from this, namely:
**A go to receiver makes a huge difference
**A QB no matter how promising is only as enabled to succeed in proportion to the quality of his supporting cast
**Despite 4 years of college seasoning and being heralded as the next Peyton, Luck, who is damn good, despite pedestrian numbers he usually puts up, primarily because of his mobility and clutchness, isn't really all that far behind a relatively raw QB who himself has had to deal with a porous OL until recently, loads of unnecessary disruption, a bi-polar running game and losing Gibson, already his go-to guy.

that 50 percent of possessions inside of 2 minutes having resulted in a score would be a lot higher if we didn;t have some of the protection issues we have dealt with earlier in the season...
