This game was set up to be a perfect letdown game, coming off two huge victories, on the road against a team better than their record by far.

This was a test as to whether we could win a game playing poorly, and we fell short.

The defense had a very bad day overall, and that last play topped it off, how can you not have someone watching for the QB run? Covering the middle of the field, on 4th and short?

We'll have to put this behind us and chalk it up as a learning experience for a young team that still is learning how to win.

Finally, I do not get the final playcall of the game, we have one play with 2 seconds left and your going for a gimmick play?

The correct call in my opinion would be to put Henne out there, let him chuck it down the field (hail mary) and pray someone gets it, or we get a pass interference call, which in turn sets up a game winning field goal.
Seems to me the odds were better than what we tried.

I also don't agree with scoring so quickly on our last scoring drive, why can't the coaches tell Ronnie to go for the 1st down, but do not go into the end zone? We had a chip shot field goal to win, and a first down ensures we can leave no time on the clock for Houston to win the game. Poor stradegy there in my opinion.

I was thinking the same thing at the time, put Henne in and let him chuck it downfield. Our secondary, or at least the scheme, was pretty bad and in the final analysis, what cost us the game. It seemed we were able to stop the running game pretty easily, but the pass was open all day. Our 3rd down rate on both sides of the ball was pathetic also.

we played well. we just didnt make THE PLAYS we needed too.

I shouted before the snap, QB SNEAK UP THE MIDDLE!!!! And then boom.... I think we all must have shouted it at the same time. mad.

Those Darn Texans.

I have a real hatred for them now.

PIST!

That was the key.

Oh yes, we should have had Ronnie pull a Westbrook, then brought out Carpenter

That is exactly what I thought ... after he scored...
Unfortuanately I am sure no one in the huddle had the peace of mind to say ... OK... Nobody score..
