Mods I hope this is the right place
After a few days of "no comment" Ticketmaster, part of the Livenation Group, have admitted they have been hacked. The hack is estimated to have affected around half a BILLION (you read that correctly) people globally including the US.
So if you have ever bought tickets for a Dolphin game, show or event online through them then there is a good chance your name, email, address, phone details and last few digits of your payment card have been stolen and released into the wild.
Change your password, watch out for strange texts emails etc
Oh and if you used the same password for Ticketmaster elsewhere change those ones too

Whats also very important but not commonly mentioned is that the full credit card numbers were hashed. Its only a matter of time before those hashes are deciphered, provided the hacker can find a buyer at $500k.

Thank you very much brother. :ffic:

Unfortunately the large scale hacks have been going on for years, and will not stop. There have been multiple 100+ million user hacks in the past years and it won't be slowing down. A challenge for people and banks to say the least. Ticketmaster is just the latest that has gone viral in the news.

Get alerts for every single thing that happens on your cards and pay attention. The down side is it continues to get deeper such as stock holdings and 401ks. Watch your accounts.

Also expect to receive some sort of notification from Ticketmaster offering credit monitoring.

You’d certainly hope so, I wouldn’t hold your breath though, it’s taken them days to acknowledge the leak, it’s going to take a while for them to agree to pay for a global credit monitoring scheme.

By law they will have to offer it. And ticketmaster is quite busy legally speaking
