...but, how far behind are we (The Dolphins) to the Conference Championship teams in every facet of the game!), Vikings, Saints, and Cults?

Not that far. Our main weakness is defense and a dependable running game that doesn't put the ball on the ground at critical times.....The Vikes do it but they have enough that they can overcome it.

There is no team in the mix right now that is a steamroller.

All 4 of these teams have some sort of a playmaker, some of the teams have multiple playmakers. Phins have 0. Until they address this, they won't come close to the AFC Championship. It's a level of play this franchise hasn't seen in years.

If you hate to ask this then why are you asking?

Well, two of those teams we faced this year, and should've won both of em. So I'm gonna say not too far behind.

When you have 45 mins of possession against a team and still lose the game, then no, you shouldn't have won. The Phins need serious help on both sides of the ball, to not only score quicker but hold teams from those quick scores.

The Phins need 4 LBs, a NT, #1 WR, and FS. Too many holes to fill in one offseason. This isn't Madden.

The Dolphins are going to be a tough team to rate. Why? 1. Injuries to a number of starters, our best players. 2. Youth. Rookie Cornerbacks going up against elite QBs/WRs. A QB in Henne starting for the first time. A 32 year old RB having to try and carry us since the other players were going down around him.

You don't know how much our young players will progress this offseason. I wouldn't be surprised if we win 9 games and get a wild card, or win 11-12 games and get a division title with possible bye. But I think it looks good. Also, need to stay healthy. You also don't know who may come out of nowhere[ala Davone Bess]

The Saints went 8-8 last year and finished in Last Place, and one year later they are the NFC Champions. You just never know.

Injuries are a part of the game. When you have built a team around players that have proven they can't stay healthy, that risk comes out in spades. Ronnie can't carry the load. Grove can't carry the load. Thomas can't carry the load. Pennington can't carry the load. It's just how it is.

The Saints last year were a vastly different team than they are this year. Can we do it? Sure. We have to get away from getting people like Gibril Wilson, Ernest Wilford, Pat White, etc, and depending on them when we are hurting in various other positions.

As much as I do approve of lots of the culture shift that's been done by TunaCo, they have really dropped the ball on FA and tossing draft picks in the toilet.

AMEN!! Who was the last playmaker the Fins had? Ricky early in the decade?

all 3 have a Top 5 QB to start off with

2 of the 3 have 2 elite pass rushers

all 3 have multiple weapons at WR and a good/great TE.

they could have beaten both superbowl teams and swept the jets, on the right track takes time to build a winner

I have been harping on it for months, Until we get a vertical passing game, a play making receiver, and a player maker on defense that can just take over the game we are not going to contend. The Colts have the 18th defense and the Saints have the 25th, yet they both our a pass first offense and they get vertical.

Interesting though the majority of the Colts players though were built through the draft. manning, Wayne, Clarke, Garcion, Freeney, etc.

While a lot of the Saints came via Free Agency. Brees, Evens, Shockey, Sharper, Gay, Vilma, Greer, etc.
