If Tom Brady continues along his current path, he is likely to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, and he is also likely the last player to ever wear the #12 in the AFC East. The Dolphins, Jets and Bills have already retired the number:

Dolphins – Griese
Jets – Namath
Bills – Kelly

That’s an impressive list (although I think that Namath is VASTLY overrated)……add Brady to that list, and you’re looking at 12 Super Bowl appearances and 6 Super Bowl victories.

The Patriots already have 7 players numbers retired…..so it’s not like they are extremely shy about doing so. Unlike Buffalo who didn’t even retire OJ’s number (you would have thought they’d have done that even before the whole murder incedent).

I haven't really noticed that before. Thanks for sharing that with us man.

Wow. Cool factoid. Never thought of that. I'm all for it and it seems like a no-brainer.

Didnt know that
he will be inducted IMO

Even this early, Brady is a shoe in for HOF. 3 rings is more than enough, which is why it's a good thing it's another teams turn, time for other players in the NFL to get their resume nice for HOF.

I agree about Namath being vastly overrated and it pains me to say that.

Brady is the best #12 of them all in my opinion and will go down alongside Monta, Marino, Unitas and Graham as one of the best to ever play the position.

You can add up all the other #12's in the AFC East, and they don't come close to the #13 the Miami Dolphins had.

I think Marino is the best QB in the history of the game but Brady is working his way up there. it sucks that 2 of our main rivals have had 2 of the best Qbs of all time and 2 that i hate but have tremendous respect for.

Two? You trying to tell me that Jim Kelly isn't one of the all time greats. ;)

Depends, are we talking Joe Namath before or after he tore up his knee?

kelly was a great QB but not good enough to be on the Mt. Rushmore of Qbs which Marino is and Brady is working his way towards.

Unfortunately you have to include the entire body of work and it wasn't that good thanks in large part to his injuries.
