Brady our QB next season???

This would be the most Miami Dolphins move. Bring in the rotting corpse of Brady, paying him an absurd amount of money in the process. Here’s hoping we pass.

But you're playing the "if" game. What good does that do versus reality?

Theres no “if” game involved in acknowledging and pointing out that Marino didn’t play with near the same amount of HOF talent or a stellar defense. Those QB‘s clearly did.

And despite the flawed public narrative, it’s ‘teams’ and ‘organizations’ that win championships, not one player.

It‘s rather simple, actually, to realize that if a QB of Marino’s talent and accomplishments were placed on a SB caliber/winning organization that he would have undoubtedly been apart of it too. After all, he was never one to hold a team back. He never made the fatal mistakes in the most important moments to cause his team to lose. So with surrounding talent capable of doing the same, he surely would have won too.

You can call it “if” all you want. I call it having a firm understanding and grasp on the game and how things work. And acknowledgement how Marino was on or above the same level of those other QB’s.

In the end, too many fans erroneously use winning a title against individual players when the reality is that football is the ultimate team sport. Whomever the true GOAT football player is, that player isn’t ever winning a title w/o not just a little, but a ton of help. The only difference between Montana, Brady and Marino is that they we’re on better teams. They weren’t better players.

We'll agree to disagree.

While your point of team game is on point, Brady has pulled those great teams out of the fire time and time again. So much so that you can feel a comeback happen before it does with him as I mentoned, much like Marino.

And we can't have it both ways because many say a great team will never be a true franchise without a QB and you're saying the franchise/organization makes the QB great.

So which is it?

If you think Bledsoe could've done with NE what Brady has done simply because the organization became the example of how to build a team, you're kidding yourself.

Also, as you allude to, football is so much more than a one factor sport, the ultimate team game. How in the world do you know that Belicheat and Marino wouldn't of bumped heads, that Marino's gunsling mentality would have worked in the NE system?

One of the many reasons Shula was great was because he was smart enough to remove ego from the equation and let Marino be Marino.

Marino in this Pats franchise MOST LIKELY would've brought him similar if not better success but then again, maybe it wouldn't have. It's still the "if" game. We want to put Marino there, we NEED to put Marino there but we just will never know.

Team game? Absolutely. You're certainly correct. But without a QB, maybe you have a Dilfer or Johnson holding up ONE trophy situation. You're not going to have 9 superbowl appearances.
