“I’m the left tackle of this team. I wasn’t worried about anything.”

“I’m trying to bring [Tunsil] along the best I can,” Albert said. “The faster he moves along, the faster that his progress comes, the faster we get the five best offensive linemen on the field. … and that’s going to help the team.”

The Miami Dolphins are expecting big things from first round pick Laremy Tunsil. Many expect Tunsil to take over one of the tackle spots once training camp opens up. But if you ask starting left tackle Branden Albert, his spot is not up for grabs. Albert has dropped a lot of weight and says he is as healthy as he has ever been. When he was asked about the Dolphins drafting Tunsil, Albert says he wasn’t worried at all.

The odds point to Tunsil starting at LT at some point during the season. Until then, I don't really care where either of them start. It's a pretty good situation to be in.

The phins front office called and told him he would stay at LT as soon as Tunsil was drafted.

Albert looked very fit in the interview. Hope he stays healthy cuz it looks like his gonna tear it up!

let's look at it again at the end of camp and week 4 again, fat albert

Make no mistake, BA is a damn fine LT in this league and really had a great season coming off injury. Tunsil is the future and a great insurance policy in the current, but BA is the premier offensive lineman on this team right now.

in a perfect world tunsil comes in and plays lt day 1 but having two potentially great lts is not a bad problem to have and i just hope tunsil can play well at guard and if he does have to kick out to lt i hope there is enough there for him not to struggle with the transition at the nfl level

pity.

Id bed Tunsil in asap if it was up to me. Let Albert play his final season in Miami at LG

Before we make fun of Albert's 'injury history', remember that his knee injury in 2014 was caused by Dallas Thomas getting practically thrown on top of his knee from about 2 yards away, and in recovering from that had some hamstring issue for about 2 weeks last year and then he was healthy A.F. the rest of the year.

He's finished one complete season in his entire career. Shine it however you want, he's injury-prone. Fortunately, we now have a legitimate successor and, in my opinion, a superior LT. For once, the Dolphins have addressed an important position proactively. Granted, it was 99% luck, but I'll take it! That's not to say I have a problem with him starting at OG. I don't. The setup is fine and who knows, maybe Albert will beat the odds and complete his second full season in 9 years and we won't have to worry about Thomas starting at guard.
