Branden Albert: KC or NE

A lot of mocks have Albert going either to the Chiefs at #5 or the Pats at #7.

But isn't Albert projected as a LT? Would the Pats expect him to supplant Matt Light? Doesn't seem to fit, unless they plug him in at RT. Possible.

The Chiefs could certainly use LT help, but didn't their move yesterday basically admit they're targeting Gholston or Long? They kinda need to replace Jared Allen.

I just hate the Pats, that's all, really. I don't want them to end up with Branden Albert.

bottom line for the Pats is that not many rookies are going to come in and get major playing time.

perhaps Albert would fit at one of the guard spots or RT for them.....or maybe he is a backup for a year like so many of the rookies they draft.

Actually, Albert is soaring up the boards because the guy is the most dominant OG and is projecting as LT in the NFL.

I would bet that whomever drafts him - he is starting day 1 - somewhere on the OL.

Sirius radio was reporting this morning the Chiefs are targeting Albert with their pick and Otah with the Vikings pick to completely rebuild their oline...
