What do we do with this guy? He's not the worst left tackle in the league but his age seems to shows more and more as time goes on. Doesn't help that he's still making silly mental mistakes as a 30 year old. Whats the dead money look like if we cut him in the offseason? I'm admittedly eager to see Laremy Tunsil protecting RT's blindside.

He either goes inside to Guard or he is off the team. Laremy Tunsil is our LT in 2017 and I doubt this is a secret to Albert after playing with this kid.

Old, expensive, injury prone.

Time for Tunsil to move across. Albert is still good but I would invest his salary in a guard + help on D

About 3 million in dead money if we cut him I believe. I say cut him and let Tunsil do what he does best, but I wouldn't be necessarily disappointed if we kept him.

It's an overexaggeration to call hi the worst LT in the league. a Big time one.

Here's the deal with Albert.

1) When healthy do you believe he's worth his salary?
2) If he is, is he healthy enough?
3) Do you have a suitable replacement

I think we all agree that we have #3 take care of. It's the first two that the Fins will ponder.

And that is the problem. You can not rely on the guy to play the whole season.

The play of the Oline (and Matt Moore's carelessness with the football) were the most disappointing aspects of this loss.
Albert is a veteran and I expected a solid performance from him (free of mental mistakes). The Steelers defense is just OK and I was disappointed that there was no push from the Oline to get Ajayi going.
The good teams run even when the opponent knows you are going to run.
IMO watching football since the early 70's, the tone of playoff games is set by the Oline right from the get go. When I saw the gaping holes Bell was running through in the 1st quarter, I knew the game was over. On most of Ajayi's runs it looked like he was running into a wall. There is simply no excuse for that.
Mandich used to say that 50% of football was mental and Oline play was effort and having the right mentality.
Our Oline was in absentia today and they should be ashamed of themselves.

CBS interviewed Tomlin before the game and they asked him what aspect of the game would influence the outcome the most. He emphatically said the game would be decided in the closet space of the trenches and he was right. There was just nothing we could do today offensively. As bad as the penalties are with Juwaun I think he played visibly better than Albert throughout the year and he sure as heck isn't getting paid like Albert. Time for a change.

I can't wait to see Tunsil at left tackle I think it'll open things up even more on offense and keep those giveaways down. I mean his initials spell LT for pete's sake it's meant to be. I dunno how athletic of a guard Albert would make but that's the only place I'd want to see him next year. Hopefully we can adopt that old school toughness sooner than later.

He needs to take pay cut and move to guard, or be cut. Most likely he will say no, so we will be moving Tunsil to LT and looking for a LG.

He's tricky a decision. I hate his contract at 10.6M with 7.2M in dead money if cut. He is an above average LT when he is healthy which is the tricky part....he is typically healthy only 2/3 of the season. He needs a reworked contract big time. I would restructure him to come back one more season before moving Tunsil full time to LT. We already need one G (RG) I hate to create another hole along the line. Can't count on Pouncey either but his contract really prohibits any movement until 2018.

He gave up one sack during the regular season. It would be hard to turn that away for Tunsil or anyone else.
