Just seeing some rumors going around twitter today about BG potentially being released. Nothing too credible so far but in my opinion it makes sense.

i'd rather carry Binns and Matthews than Binns and one of those two. Also factoring in that BG is making a tremendous amount more than the both of them combined.

My corps would be Wallace Hartline Matthews and Landry.

I've also been a big fan of Matthews since we drafted him and we have seen him maturing as well as Tannehill trusting him more and more as the season went on.

How would you guys feel if we cut Gibson?

For Matthews based on what he has actually done?

Matthews has one VG game with Tampa.

I don't see how you keep him and Binns ahead of Gibson based on performance.

if Miami were to get rid of Gibson, i would rather trade him for something. even if it's a late round pick.

Matthews has shown flashes but not too many, hopefully he can show consistency this year.

How about this teams has some depth for once OR an asset to trade at some point?

I say keep Gibson unless he is not fully recovered. He as too good at the beginning of last season. Not as high on Mathews as others and Binns is a total unknown. They kept 6 last season. Only 5 caught passes. The group should be Wallace, Hartline, Gibson, Landry, Matthews, and Binns, in that order. Binns is the one on the bubble IMO.

I don't see why you can't keep six WR. We'd be able to have a nice rotation and guys wouldn't get tired.

Please share. I havent heard anything about him being released.

If he is 100% healthy, it would be hard for me to justify releasing him, especially since he is relatively cheap.

We are neither cutting nor trading Brandon Gibson. Our offense last year was predicated on underneath passing. We acquired Gibson and Keller to fill those underneath roles. Keller didn't play a single down in the regular season so we featured Gibson and before his injury he was having a great year. He was leading the league in third down conversion catches.

This year we don't have an underneath TE, and we added Jarvis Landry. This gives us. True second option underneath and depth from injury.

When Gibson was healthy early we had the bulk of our wins last seaon. When he went own we lost most of our games from here on out.

We will keep Gibson. He is more valuable to us than to any other team.

Agreed. If Gibby is healthy he better stay. With our o-line we are gonna need short yardage and slot receivers and plenty of em

Between Binns and Matthews, it comes down to if Binns can stay healthy and if Matthews shows the consistency to take advantage of his talent.

Gibson counts $3.7M on this years cap, and we would save $1.7M by trading or cutting him. Based on how I saw him play last year, no way in hell I am looking to save that money with no reason to do so. Get rid of a good WR to add to $1.7 M to the $13M we already have in the bank makes no sense whatsoever.

Don't know if this is what the op is referring to but here's something I found.

According to Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post, both Brian Hartline and Brandon could be at risk of getting traded or released if Wallace and Landry impress early. Both Hartline and Gibson were strong options for Tannehill last season, but injuries might force either player out. Gibson is currently recovering from a torn patellar tendon while Hartline is coming back from a torn PCL. Gibson was not seen during offseason workouts while Hartline was extremely limited. Financially, both players are easy cuts as the Dolphins might have some hard choices ahead of them.

The team has been in talks to sign free agents like Jermichael Finley or Dustin Keller. Both tight ends are coming back from serious season-ending injuries, but the Dolphins need help at the position. Keller is the healthier option of the two and would sign for cheap in order to play. He has familiarity with the Dolphins' offense which puts him ahead of someone like Finley who might be the better talent.
