It is a video for this week's preview it's very good watch. In it shows the Jags using the wildcat on Texans for a 40+ gain by a no-namer.

OOOHHH Man ronnie is going to run all over the Texans!!!!

I'm going to this game with my bro is anyone going? I wanna tailgate and have sum fun.

That is right the Texans could not stop it against the Jags. Few seem to forget that the Texan are allowing 139.8 yards a game and are 1st or second on allowing scores. Anyways Im happy Sparano is taking the game very serious.

Real good observation, I had completely forgotten about that.

That was a direct snap from the punt formation not the Wildcat.

Exactly. It was a fake punt, not the wildcat.

Just like Kevin Faulk ran a direct snap. He didn't run the wildcat.

Not saying that other teams haven't done it this year. But appearantly commentators and ESPN believes that anytime a RB receives a direct snap it is now the wildcat formation.

MChemical, dude dont worry every time you point sometime on in this site there is a bunch of Dolfans that like going the complete opposite. They still think this Miami team is the same as last year and even after beating to of the best teams in the NFL we get not credit.

i hope we keep not getting credit for the improvement and these 2 teams.. we can fly under the radar like last years giants.. im not saying we are gonna go to the super bowl.. im saying that the giants were NEVER talked about and then they win the superbowl.. if we start getting more press.. it might get to the young players heads.. so keep it like it is.. btw ronnie and ricky are gonna have 250+ yards on the ground together.. cant wait til the smashing we will give the texans.. i havent been this happy for a game in wut seems like forever..

If they ran it from the Wildcat formation I would definitely give him credit for it but since the Jags did not...I cannot.

Yeah It wasn't the wildcat. My bad I assumed it was since the announcer said so but if you rewind the video you can see that it was in a punt formation.

How was it a fake punt??? Am I missing something because there wasn't a punter back there..........

That's why the fake worked so well. The Texans were lined up as if the Jags were going to punt, they had two players each on the "gunners" and had one man deep. On another video you can see the return man counting to see if they had enough players on the field. The Jags caught them off-guard by pretending to line up in punt formation on 4th and 4 but direct snapped it instead.

Thats because the Texans have horrible coaching. There wasn't any punter back there, yet you still line up in a punt return formation. Perhaps they were expecting the Running Back to punt? If so, shows bad coaching, I will take my chances of a Running Back punting the ball over lining up in a Punt Return with no punter back there, just a Running back.

I don't know if the punter was one of the 11 players on the field because I cannot see all the numbers. In any case it wasn't the Wildcat formation and it did catch the players and coaches off-guard.

Wildcat, Rampaging Hog, punt fakery, statue of liberty or whatever.. it does suggest that Houston's coaching staff does not prep well for the unexpected or trickeration. Hopefully that will continue.

Doesn't really matter if it was or not, it was similar and that's good enough for me. I don't see them stopping it anyhow. I don't see any team stopping it. Sure you can slow it down, but completely stop it? Doubt it :beer1:
