Albert Breer just said on Total Access that the Dolphins are the leaders in the clubhouse for Peyton and that they have a plan in place to add Ryan Tannehill in the event Manning is too hurt to play.

I'd rather go with Kirk Cousins or Weeden in the 2nd or 3rd than take Tannehill at 8.

I'd honestly be fine with that, get a NOW qb in Manning and a future qb in Tannehill (or whoever) for the future near or far depending on how Manning holds up, I'm freaking tired of bargains, go balls to the wall and get us some QB talent in Miami!!

hmmmm, do they trade matt moore at that point?

they may also look to trade down because by that time, cleveland has rg3 and washington gets flynn in FA. Seattle supposedly not looking for QB. complete heresay but...

No. I think Tannehill is a guy that needs 2-3 years behind a vet. Moore would be the 2nd qb.

I agree 100% I think we need to snag a QB later in the draft, but get the best lineman available at 8 or snag Blackmon or Richardson if either fall.

I really like the sound of that scenario. Tannehill isn't a polished product but I am sure Sherman can tell Ireland and Philbin everything they need to know about him. If they feel he is worth the 8th pick, I think they know what they are getting. A healthy Manning for a few years and then Tannehill taking over like Rodgers in Green Bay is awesome.

Though it could easily backfire with Manning never being healthy and Tannehill being a draft bust. However, if this is the route they go, not sure you can complain that they didn't address the position.

Nothing wrong with taking the shotgun approach. Having capable starters will give us options now and down the road.
I like the idea, but I am not sold on Tannehill. Sherman must think a lot of him. Hopefully he left his loyalty checked at the curb. We cannot afford to make a mistake with that #8 pick. I would rather take Richardson at 8 (if he is there) and get Cousins, Weeden, Osweiler later on. IMHO Cousins and Tannehill are both 2-3 year projects, we might as well take a future pro bowl player (Richardson) and get the project later. Moore is always there if Manning his still recovering and the project player needs more time.

If this ends up happenning we must all applaud Ireland and Ross.
