In other words, he wants no part of the Dolphins or Bucs job. But if something better comes up, he would be all for leaving Philly.

When people started complaining that "Anyone than Ireland" would appease them, I hope their happy with the result.

I'm sure none of us realized how far this organization has fallen.

SMH... people turning down million dollar jobs!

IMO a lot of us are reading too much into Gamble not interviewing. We have discussed his situation. He is most likely comfortable in Philly and liking where he is plus dealing with his dad. If he does at some point take a GM position on another team it's easy to see the timing is not right for him. This really has nothing to do with Miami. Also our organization has sensed this also due to his lack of response to their request because they are already in the mindset of interviewing finalists.

In other words he left arguably a better job to go Philadelphia to be home. Now he is staying at home. Not every decision is some reflection on Miami.

Serious?
A man can not make a decision for the right reasons? :ponder:

Gamble is well know that he is an Eagle through and through. That's why he turned down the GM opportunity with the Jets last year. It has nothing to do with the Bucs and Dolphins this year or Jets last year.

Here are his own words from last year:

"I grew up here, I'm from here, I worked here, love this team, love this franchise, love the city," Gamble, the team's new vice president of pro personnel, said. "It was a big deal for me to get back this way. Thirty other opportunities I wasn't interested in. Philly called and I was interested."

"I wasn't looking to go anywhere," he said. "I was in a great situation with great ownership, a great head coach and general manager, but it's Philly and that's as good as it gets in this business. That means something to me. I didn't know when it would come up again and I was ecstatic to come back."

The reasons for his lateral move from the 49ers to the Eagles and his rejection of the Jets GM position from last year are still valid this year.

He is an Eagle and he loves it there.

I am not surprised. Would have been a good pick.

Time to make a decision on a GM.

I wonder if the slander job done by biased and reckless media jackasses played any role?
