brees....dolphins are not the only team interested in him

i wouldnt be surprised if Arizona took a look at him as well if they dont believe that mcnown is their future.......
 
I dont know if Miami is the only team interested but I heard....

"Jason Cole, of the Miami Herald, reports free agent QB Drew Brees (Chargers) will ask to visit the Miami Dolphins shortly after free agency opens if, as expected, he can't work out a contract extension with the San Diego Chargers, according to a source."

Havent heard him having any interest in any other team.
 
I doubt we'll be his only suitor... we just need to be the most motivated, which I think we will.
 
The only team I am worried about is the Bolts but its looking less likely they are going to match.

Jim Trotter, of the San Diego Union-Tribune, reports chances are slim anything will happen between San Diego Chargers and free-agent-to-be QB Drew Brees before free agency begins. Brees now has to wait a few extra days before he can talk with other teams. While the Chargers could still sign him to a new deal before then, it does not appear likely.
 
*phew* that was one long article, dang, ummmmmmm yeah i really doubt we are the only team in the nfl wanting to go after a pro bowl free agent qb.
but i believe that saban will put all his effort into making sure brees sees us as the only option

Best news I've heard in a while.
 
It's amazing, after all is said and done, we could end up with the Chargers top two QB's. According to Marty, he had very high expectations for QB C. Lemon before we added him. He even went as far as calling out the people involved in making the decision of letting him go....

He was very angry over losing Lemon from what I understand, and I can't image how PO'd he'll be if he loses Brees as well. Not to mention it being to the same team....

they apparently think warner is their future since he signed 3 years 18 mil last week. arizona will not be going after brees

Correct me if im wrong but i don't think that the Cardinals have or are going to resign Josh Mccown. They made that clear when they gave Kurt Warner a new deal.
 
IF it came down to Green Bay or Miami, I'd say he'd go with Miami just cause we're more competetive.
 
I would love to get Rodgers in a deal somehow. I think the kid should have easily have been picked ahead of Smith. At the college challenge he stood head and shoulders above any other kid attending.
