Brees' mother suffers heart attack

Mina Brees, the mother of New Orleans QB Drew Brees, suffered a heart attack while working in her yard over the weekend. She is in intensive care in an Austin hospital and will undergo surgery next week to correct an abnormality in her heart. She is a candidate for Texas' Third Court of Appeals this November and says she'll resume her campaign as soon as she recovers from the operation.

Only mentioned since Drew almost became a Dolphin.
