Depending on how severe drews shoulder was hurt yesterday, that injury can effect the market for QB'S and his value

I agree Doc, shoulder injuries have hurt alot of QB's this season (Penninton, Bulger). Brees has developed into a good QB, and I hope it's nothing more than a sprain! Happy New Year!

Well depending on the severity of Brees' injury it could affect SD's decision wether to stick with him or go with Rivers... which in turn could affect us since we would be in the market for a QB.

Teams think twice about how much money they give QBs who just suffered shoulder injuries??

Say it ain't so!!

Last night ESPN said it was a seperated shoulder. Obviously it could be more. But whatever it turns out to be, it likely would have kept Brees out of the playoffs had they made it.

While it's hard to bench a Pro Bowl QB for no good football reason (try telling a young, healthy veteran Pro Bowler he's sitting out the team's final game), the decision not to start Rivers could really bite Marty in the end.

First of all, SD WILL keep Brees. Second, his value will not at all decrease with just a shoulder injury.

Agree Muck. I question some of Marty's play calling this year, as well as personnel decisions. I don't think he is the coach to take this team, and all there talent to the superbowl.

After seeing the replay, I'll be shocked if Brees doesn't have a rotator cuff injury also. And for his sake, I hope its not as bad as Pennington's.
