If you are familiar with SI they have a section called inside near the back every week and this week they did inside the NFL...anyways the article asks which of the six marquee qb's is most likely to miss their teams first game, Daunte, Big Ben, Carson Palmer, Brees, McNabb, or someone else i dont remember right now... But they said Brees is the biggest question and i wish they would have said something about the Dolphins passing on him and taking Daunte because they figured he wouldnt be ready...great move by our front office not pulling out the bucks for Brees when he may not even start week one.

Probably... Shoulder injuries are HUGE for QBs... Just ask Pennington...

Hell, ask Scott Mitchell. He was NEVER the same QB again after hurting his shoulder against Philly in 93.

Culpepper came cheaper. Anyone know by how much? He is also a better leader, won without a Pro Bowl RB/TE and is not one dimensional like Brees, clearly a great move, regardless of who starts earlier in the year.

They didn't pass on him because they thought he wouldn't be ready. They passed on him because his agent kept asking for more money than the Dolphins wanted to give him considering his shoulder. Besides, at the time the trade was made the Dolphins didn't believe Culpepper would even be this far along, and in fact he's still not a 100% lock to start opening week.
