The dolphins are still talking to him. They say he wants 10 mill a year. they will keep talking tonight and if nothing is reached they might pursue culpepper tommorow.

John Clayton

Well if he takes all the cap room, all we'll be able to afford are the 2nd and 3rd tier FA's. Doesn't he want to surround himself w/ the best team possible?

wow what an *******... i really hope we get daunte if hes only about money

exactly all he wants is money and i wonder why he is so concerneed about teh guaranteed money...maybe cuz he knows more about eth injury and if he gets hurt one more time he can be done as a QB

This is just a game of chicken at this point.

Brees clearly prefers the Dolphins

The Dolphins clearly prefer Brees

Somebody is going to fold. The question is which party it is.

to hell with him if thats what he wants

he wants his cake and eat it too

hes pretty good but not that good

Do some of you even think before you post?

If Drew Brees was only about the money, he'd have already left Miami and taken New Orlean's offer.

This is why this message board has degenerated. Some of you just make some of the most idiotic and ignorant comments that you can't back up at all.

I often wonder that about players.
About Culpepper though. One of the problems with him was he'd come at a higher price wasn't it? Then today I read that he wants to come to FLA. So is that true? And if so, I guess he'd rework his contract and be more cap friendly. Because unless Brees is cheaper, I'd really not mind Culpepper. Coach can teach him to hang onto the ball, but he can't teach Brees to get a stronger arm. I'm happy if we get either guy, they both have their pros and cons. But Brees is appearing to be a bit more greedy than I had hoped.

Yeah... what a JERK! Can you believe this guy???

I mean, imagine, taking a higher paying job! What a total loser!

I mean, why can't he be more like internet posters, ready to throw away three million dollars a year out of loyalty to a team he never even played for?

The nerve.

I can't get over it. Taking a job to get paid. How ridiclous.

f*ck Brees, unlike Daunte, Brees has never thrown for over 40 tds in a season or over 4500 yards. We Want Daunte

NICE BRO NICE I LOVE IT ....ISN'T IT AMAZING THESE PEOPLE WHO ARE COMPLAINING WOULD BE DOING THE EXACT SAME THING :shakeno:

I think it's funny seeing all these posters say there is nothing in NO and if he takes the NO contract he is all about money. Before last season, NO was a pick for the super bowl almost every year. The only problem was, they had an idiot headcoach and an unreliable QB. Top that off with one year of major distraction and you get last years mess.... Gee that sounds familiar! Maybe Brees sees NO as the dolphins of last year, Maybe he LIKES the idea of passing to Joe Horn, Donte Stallworth, and Devery Henderson. Maybe the Saints promised him that they'd draft D'Brick and give him the best young pair of tackles in the league. There is still talent in NO.. On offense anyways.

EDIT: And now we can add Scott Fujita to the line and make it more promising. Saints just signed him.

If he wants the money he will go to N.O. if he wants to win he will come her that easy!
