The Miami Dolphins have already lost one starting cornerback to a season-ending groin injury, which explains why the team appears to be taking a cautious approach with the other. Brent Grimes, the Dolphins' shutdown cornerback, wasn't allowed to practice with the team on Wednesday because of a groin injury he suffered in Sunday's 24-20 win over the New England Patriots.
Dimitri Patterson, who began the season as the starter opposite Grimes, was placed on injured reserve last week because of a groin injury he'd battled all season.

Thomas won't play, the odds of our top 2 corners getting hurt in a game again are low and this time I'm sure Taylor and Davis are both active if either corner is a no go

Practiced yesterday, doubt he will practice Friday. That'll give plenty of time to heal up. Injury looked minor as it is.

I hope he plays so I dont have to see his crazy wife bitching about it on Twitter

Cold weather wont make it any better either for him.

Ozzy rules!!

I was referring to the running back Thomas maybe not being able to play, not the safety Thomas..a little confusing with the same last name:up: my bad for not clarifying.

What are you talking about...it's like icing your injury while you play.

I assume the theory behind it is because the cold would keep your muscles cold and tight as opposed to warm and loose. Not exactly like icing an injury

Yep, and I'm not exactly sure how many on this site have actually had a groin strain (which is a tear) but they're never minor (at least in the sense that a simple bruise is), and the only true way to heal them is lots of rest (although the severity of the tear dictates how long). Playing football with even a slight strain is a good chance for reinjury which is why Patterson was in and out so often this year.

Always scary when Omar is making a "projection" on something.

I can't help but think about this clip from Cheers every time a player is diagnosed with a groin injury...
