I said this earlier in the season, then Grimes got a few flashy ints and all was apparantly well again acorrding to the interwebs. But i think it is still a valid point....

Brent Grimes is not as good as he was last year. He has allowed a great many plays this year (even this week) that he would not have allowed last year.

Did he even allow a single touchdown last year? off the top of my head I can think of at least 3 or 4 where he tripped or got pushed away this year and it resulted in a touchdown

Grimes has still been good, has had a few wow plays but his play has slipped this year, he has just not had the same coverage as last year

I find this concerning as he is the only good corner we have and I hope it is just a few off games rather than signs of a decline.... Brent aint getting any younger.

And no im not saying hes crap or we should move on, he simply hasnt lived up to the very high standards he set last year, in my opinion.

He got lit up like a Christmas tree today. Maybe he was in a festive mood

There are some players on the team that aren't sure Brent can still cut it...

Expect Lauren Tannehill to drop that this week? Nope cause she's got class.

Grimes is still our best corner. Clearly not playing as well as he did last year and there's no explanation for it other than maybe age. This team has a lot of holes to fill unfortunately due to some bad drafts....Taylor and Will Davis haven't really panned out so far and I'm not sure you can risk waiting to see what they look like next year.

In the games Taylor has played in this year he's generally had very good coverage, good position but somehow every throw early this year against him was just about a perfect pass. He's been outstanding in run support, I'll give him that...but I can't remember him even coming close to breaking on the ball and coming up with an INT. Will Davis was toast when he played earlier...so bad he went from the #3 CB to the bench and special teams work only before getting injured.

Man going to the game and watching the action live you notice two glaring things.

1) Brent Grime literally plays on an Island I mean no safety help like 90% of the time.
2) Mike Wallace Routinely gets doubled. The safety of the opposing defense doesn't even try to disguise it...he literally lines up right behind the CB...ridiculous. If that doesn't tell you all you need to know about our #2 Receiver position, I don't know what else will.

Interesting feedback....thanks for posting.

How was the crowd? Looked like a lot of Vikings fans.

today and the green bay game were definately two of the worst games ive seen (or at least can remember off the top of my head) Grimes play for us.

He got smacked around pretty good last week too. On the Embleman td he didn't even try. He was so bad today I kept screaming damn you Jimmy Wilson then correcting myself damn that's Grimes. He looked Jimmy Wilson bad!

Point 2 really helps to illustrate just how ****ty Hartline is that he cant consistently beat singing coverage. Should be an easy decision for the FO to release him this off-season.

Brent Grimes had a bad game. He's had a pretty darn good season though.

Grimes is one of the worst corners in the Nfl when it comes to the red zone

NFL CBs w/ highest Red Zone burn % 1. Amerson 70% (10 targets) 2. Ron Parker 64% (11) 3. Grimes 62% (13) 4. Roby 60% (10)"
