Lost in the coaching hoopla, anyone know Brent Grimes' status? Miko tweeted about focusing on "getting her family healthy," which to me indicates Brent's injury is serious.

Doesn't matter what's done to fix the defense, you're not going very far without Grimes and with what's behind him.
 
I was wondering this as well. Knee injuries are always scary, I hope it isnt too serious
 
Well I don't think it was ACL because that news would have been reported. Could be MCL sprain which might have him out a few weeks.

MCL sprain would be my guess as well. Probably having the MRI today.

In all seriousness though, her bail was some ridiculously small amount (for a millionaire) so don't think she would be there all that long.
 
I thought the defense played better without him, maybe mccain can play boundary but on the left side.

Grimes was the only DB allowing a [defensively] respectable passer rating against. QBs tend to ignore his man. You can't in any logical world argue the defense is better without him.
 
It scares me to say it, but Grimes level of play certainly seems to be tailing off. I think hed be best suited in a slot role at this point. He could still dominate at that position for us. Which means we need 2 starting quality boundary corners to add to the wishlist.

Is he tailing off? Probably. Still heads and tails above any other DB on this roster though, even if that's by reputation alone and QBs not testing him.
 
Oh wait, she is back on Twitter again after quitting (again) yesterday? :idk:

Grimes needs to get healthy and then learn how to tackle someone. Maybe in the new Coach Campbell world he will compete, make tackles in practice and then have it translate into the game. As it stands right now Grimes just gets flicked off of wide receivers like a gnat.
