PFT reports Brett Farve would be a good fit in Miami if he leaves Packers. Here's part of the story:

First, it would have to be a team that needs a starter. Second, the team would have to be willing to put Brett at the top of the depth chart, and essentially leave him there.

Next, the team would have to be otherwise set with receivers, offensive line, running game, and defense (which leaves out the Saints). Basically, Favre would have to be the final piece of a puzzle that otherwise is in position to contend for a championship.

As we scan the list of 32 NFL teams, we see only one that potentially meets those criteria. And it's the team that enjoyed the services of the last great quarterback who didn't win a Super Bowl -- Dan Marino.

Yep. We think it could work for Favre in Miami. Sign him to a two-year deal, plug him into the offense, let him do his thing, structure an attack around his strengths.

At a time when Fins fans are thinking big when it comes to getting a new quarterback, we think they should start thinking Brett. Because, as we see it, Favre is one of the few guys who could give the team a huge boost at the position, possibly enabling the team to play for the championship in its home stadium in 2006, and allowing Favre to ride off into the sunset a winner, not slink away as a tired and beaten old man.

What do ya think?

just say no, his positive plays not longer overcome his bad ones. When we needed him the most he would gunsling a pick.

Favre will be able to play when he's fifty years old, and play well. But I don't think I would want him on the team, let him retire a Packer and start his wait for the hall of fame.

Ditto.

I wouldn't feel right having Favre here. He's a Packer and should retire a Packer. He's a great quarterback don't get me wrong but I just couldn't want him here.

yea, favre and the packers are like cereal and milke. one can work without the other, but it just isnt rite without both.

Speaking hypothetically (because I agree with those that say Favre should retire a Packer), of the three big names that get thrown around (Favre, Culpepper and Favre), Favre is the most appealing to me. Three reasons - first, getting him would be easier (I'm sure if he asked the Packers to cut him, they would - but does anyone know his contract status?). Culpepper would cost draft picks, McNair will be resigned (especially if Young declares - trade Volek, draft either Young or Leinhart). Second, he's won a Super Bowl. Third, gotta believe a lot of the picks he threw this year were a result of having no running game and no one experienced to throw to. He does throw more picks than most, but he can still make throws that no other qb can make.

PHINZ RULE!!!

If we draft Cutler, having Favre for a tutor would be a good thing.

Yep, I`d take Favre in a heartbeat. He throws picks, but so did Marino. The guy is a gunslinger who likes to throw downfield (which is what a Linehan offense needs) and you know he`ll be in the lineup every week, unlike McNair.

i would take him but draft a QB so farve mentors him and i agree its not right to see farve in a differnet uni
