The hype around him has sagged over the last few days, so in typical Brett Favre fashion, it was time to hold a press conference to discuss his future again..

Favre decided to announce (at as imperative a time as now) that he MAY OR MAY NOT return next season. Wow. That really sheds some light in the dark, Lord Favre. Now lets spend the next 350 days deliberating over the he said/she said of Brettverely Hills 90210 gossip will he return or won't he return.

In other news, Brett Favre is past his prime.

Not only is he past his prime, but can you imagine the respect he lost among his teammates in GB? Basically all of the guys on the roster were at the mercy of Favre, who basically said the rest of the team stunk. He is in this for personally achievement at this point(Marino's records). Noone will won't to go to war with this guy. I look for one of the worst performances ever by a shew in HOFer. Think he played badly last season......can't wait to see him fall all over himself this year. ****All this and I used to like Favre.

Please, Brett Favre still had over 3800 passing yards and 20+ TD's on a bad season filled with many key injuries on their offensive weapons and offensive line. So what if he had that many interceptions; with no one open to throw to you have to force the ball somewhere and try to create something out of nothing. About 6 of GB's losses last season were under 7 points.

I think everyone here are hating the fact that he may deservingly break Dan Marino's records. Respect the guy, he's the biggest competitor to ever play the QB position in the history of the NFL.

Favre is one of the best to ever play the position of QB. I could care less how much time he takes to decide if he plays or not because it's not affecting our team. I hope that the Packers don't push Favre out like Marino was pushed out of our organization. All of the Tedford coached QBs suck balls including Aaron Rodgers and he won't be anywhere near as good as Farve was.

The football god will pass the torch to Tom Brady.Let the *** kissers kiss ***!

I use to think alot of Brett Favre....but that was long ago....now he is just a guy who is full of himself and not able to know when it is time to call it a career.

Favre is no longer just a has-been, he's a d-bag!

And, yes, he was amazingly awful last season. If you watched him, you'd know that the stats were misleading.

One, you barely remember MArino, so I won't hold that against you. TWO, it isn't about him breaking Marino's records. It's about a guy who went out and publicly called out his team for not having good players. HE then SELFISHLY sat back and waited, basically handcuffing a team who was in a no-win situation in regards to what to do with Favre. (No doubt he had a ****y "you can't touch me" smirk on his face the entire time.) Favre KNOWS he isn't going to be on a good team this season. IF anything, Green Bay will probably take a step back. SO, for what other reason is Favre coming back other than PERSONAL reasons? He surely knows he's not going to make a championship run. He knows his team stinks and has already publicly said so. There are several players who either HAVE left, or want to leave Green Bay - no doubt in part because of Favre's comments and selfishness. Gimme a break. This guy, who I once respected for his play and seemingly humble personality, has become as self centered as you can get. He should have retired. Talk about tarnishing your reputation.

By the way, I don't know if there was ever a bigger competitor in the NFL at ANY position than Dan Marino.

Favre being one of the best who played the position has NOTHING to do with the *** he's made out of himself and his selfishness to the team.

For one I can't understand why they needed him to make up his mind if he was returning in the first place. They weren't going to draft a QB, they got him last year in the first round. Brett Favre is still one of the Top 5 QB's in this league. If the man doesn't want to retire then so be it, why should it bother anybody.

If we want to talk about QB's that played past their prime, then forgive me for saying this, but Dan Marino should have retired about 3-4 seasons before he did. I loved Dan, but it was hard watching those last few years, and seeing that he just didn't have it anymore. The man only spoke the truth when he said that the team wasn't very good, because they weren't.

Brett Favre is now officially the MySpace of the NFL.

:shakeno: . Please. You sound like the sports announcers who bail him out for every INT.

I like Favre, I think he's a great QB, but to say he had a good year last year is a stretch. And I don't think you can simply attribute 29 interceptions to "not having receivers open/bad offensive line play". That's an excessively high number no matter how you slice it--the man just made stupid plays last year, and I did see quite a few of his games.

I agree with you completly.I seen quite a few of his game's to lastyear, seemed to me he was throwing up alot with little care about the outcome. Not to mention calling out your teammate's in the paper. In my day that surely would get you a sore jaw.No matter who you are I'm sure quite a few would tell you how they did not think much of it,his teammate's I am talking about.
