I'm here at work, and I just heard on KFAN radio, that there has been an unconfirmed report from Mark Rosen (a local sports anchor) that Brett Favre is going to retire. Rosen is in Washington D.C. right now covering the Vikings game against the Redskins, and apparently he heard news that Favre is retiring. Not at the end of the year, but before next week's game!

Anybody know anything about this?

I have a feeling we'll be hearing this every week this season.

good, stop the embarrassing play. He SHOULD have retired two years ago. It is painful to watch him...very similar, but not AS painful as watching Danny.

annnd, Danny's stuff now has a reprieve

If he did, combined with all his offseason "decision-making," he would definitely be giving Ricky Williams a run for the "Player to Dick Over His Team the Most in One Season" award. HAHAHAHA.

What I think is funny is listening to pregame shows talk like he should be traded to a contender. Like anyone with a shot at winning wants Farve right now. He is going to finish a hall of fame career watching on the bench when his team is like 2-9 and they decide to give Rodgers a shot. Sad to watch, I mean he has no reason to be playing right now, hes won a Superbowl, has hall of fame numbers, its time to hang them up and move on to something else.

he wants the records but hes not good enough to get them in the next 15 games, though who would start him for 15 more games?

He's gonna set some different records playing like this
