let's get clear about him, he wants to play another year but Green Bay doesn't want him. If we got him than it would just be for a year so he could tutor the rookie QB and maybe win us alot of games. He is only 24 TDs behind Marino's TD record and would love to break it. He is still good but in Green Bay he just lost his entire o-line, the top 3 RBs and 2 of his best WRs not to mention Bubba Franks didn't play and his TE was Donald Lee. nobody could be good at QB behind a weak o-line, a 3rd or 4th string RB and with only Donald Driver as a real WR threat.

I want us to get him so he can tutor Cutler or whoever we draft at QB. He would help us make a run at the playoffs. Put it this way, would you want Frerotte or Favre teaching our future QB?

They have said multiple times that they want him back.

How's Brett doing? How's his wife. You certainly must know him personally to know all this stuff about him that no one else knows. Actually. what you wrote was contradictary to what every else is reporting.

Anyway, tell Brett I said what's up. :D

Since when does Green Bay not want Favre?? I hate when people come to their own conclusions and come on here like it was the news of the day.
And by the way, if you weren't paying attention (& I know you weren't) Favre absolutely REFUSED to "tutor" ANY replacement they have lined up to replace him. He said "It wasn't his job to teach any young qb's anything-who were there to replace him."

You have it wrong, it's Favre that doesn't want to come back to GB because they are a couple of years away and thats IF McCarthy turns out to be a coach...but he feels enough loyalty to the organization that he doesn't want to come out and say "Release me". To coin a phrase... If I had to guess, I'd guess he's going to be sitting on his tractor come September.

Sure, I'd love to have Favre tutoring our young QBs, who wouldn't ?? But the problem with Favre right now is that his head is not into playing again. If he changes teams he have to have his head back into the game again and I just haven't seen any indication that he's ready for that.

All this said, he'd be a great go between until our young gun can be ready, assuming we get a young gun in the draft....

Did you see a packer game this year? He was absolutly terrible in all of them. It wasnt the lack of talent around him, it was his decision making. He can no longer perform as a starting qb in this league. and there is no way he is going to another team.

Your wrong about that, he had no playmakers around him. They all got hurt. He was fine 2 years ago when Walker and Green were healthy. He didn't get that bad in one year, it was due to a lack of playmakers. I think he would do fine in Miami.

Green Bay hasn't made any statements even remotely close to not wanting Favre. Additionally, there were reports that Favre wasn't doing too much "tutoring" of Aaron Rodgers, so if you think he'll come here and "groom" our future QB, you're mistaken.

My dad is a Packer fan and has been for over 35 years, so I saw most of their games this year (after us or during our commercials).Favre still has a lot of talent. He's the kind of guy who could play until he's 40. He has played in a million games in a row b/c he's a warrior.Yes, losing Ahman Green, Davenport, Ferguson, Walker, Franks, and your OL to Free Agency spells disaster. But you have to credit the Packers defense for blowing some games too. He wont play anywhere but Green Bay. Take that to the bank
