Just heard Billick on the radio say that if we still need a quarterback and don't go after Flynn, then other teams are going to be scared off him bigtime, seeing as Philbin knows Flynn better than anyone.

Flynn could end up in deep crap...

Never thought of that.

This could be a sell from the front office to not divulge too much information on him to scare teams off. Flynn was seen for four years at practice, why would he let the cat out of the bag regarding his work ethic and knowledge of the playbook. He may come cheaper to us if other teams shy away. Besides, only denver(if no manning), Arizona,, cleveland, Seattle and us. No other teams are starved for quarterbacks

You seem to be talking past-tense, my original post is referring to the future...if we don't sign him.

Not necessarily a revelation. I been saying that since we signed Philbin! We're in the best position to judge. I also contended that it would be in Flynn's agent's best interest to take the first decent offer out of the box if Philbin's not knocking on his door at 4:01PM tomorrow for that very reason.

Could this be strategy? Show no interest to scare other teams off and then sign him for a much reduced contract?

I think somebody would take a chance on Flynn even we're lukewarm, simply because he'll be the last chair in a game of musical qb chairs. Now, he may be a rickety plastic stool, compared to the Lay-Z-Boys and Barcaloungers (Luck, Manning, RG3), but still the last chair.

Philbin may not want flynn, but he doesn't want to hurt his chances. Maybe the Fins and Manning need more time to finalize a contract and The Fins and Philbin will will stall to let Flynn move on before any announcement.
What Philbin does or doesn't do will have an effect on Flynn is true. The other QB suitors are watching.
This soap opera may be more complicated than it looks.

The Cleveland Browns would take him, they just got outdone by Washinngton for RG3 and they need someone now!!!!

If Miami tries to play that game they will get beaten to the punch. Philbin is not the only person to know Flynn. Come on.

If they really wanted Flynn they wouldnt be talking to Manning.....Good cause i think Flynn is garbage.
