To be fair, Dallas had the 10th ranked pass defense last year and now are dead last. So I don’t know about using his unemployment as a metric for his coaching ability.

Shanahan should know...that SF team had some bad luck his first few years with key injuries, but they were playing hard despite everything. It wasn't that big of a surprise when everything lined up last year for the big jump if you'd been watching them for a few years.
