Listen I reallly like this guy. Very good fullback. I know that we dont nessesarally need a fullback but I wasn't impressed by Barnes this season. He is deffinetly worth a 2nd round pick in my opinion. He has great hands and is a tremendous blocker. I know we have other issues to adress such as Defense but I want to know what my fellow dol-fans think of this guy.

he said he wants to lose some weight so he can be a running back

He is a good FB but wants to lose weight to become a RB. We have enough RB's when Ricky comes back. No need in wasting a pick. GO WR, Defense or O-line....IMO.

I do think he could become a decent running back in this league if thats what he wants to do, but I think there are a lot more pressing needs than drafting a fullback/h-back type player. We should really focus on the o-line or wide receivers in round two.

Barnes did have a very dissapointing season. Not to play monday morning qb, but I knew we should've kept Beasley.

I dont think it would really be a wise pick. Too much of his value comes from his ability to run the ball, and that's not a good fit after we spent the #2 pick on Ronnie Brown and seem to have Ricky Williams coming back.

His blocking and size arent great for a lead blocker, which would be his primary role. He's not 255 pounds, like Greg Jones.

Leonard could be a pretty good receiving threat for a FB. I know SD used Lorenzo Neal quite often and we could use a similarily talented FB. He isn't much of a blocker which is why he should be gaining weight not losing weight.

i love lenoerd he would be nice wepon out of the back feild

I think he is a pretty good blocker, reasonably fast. I mean How many times are you gunna get a CB on a FB. I think the FB position is one of the most underrated positon in the NFL.

when saban cut beasley that was my first thought that he wasnt cut out for the nfl

Why? You notice no one else has picked him up or was interested in him at the time? You think there might be a reason for that?
