he came here to win a championship, this is his best chance. he still can contibute to this team......also has jamie sharper signed anywhere yet?

I thought about this the other day. He said he wants to play 1 more year. Noone else has offered a deal. If the money is right, then why not?

If he's healthy, ok with whatever money Saban gives him, then yeah, I'd like to see him back.

I don't see any downside to that move. He even knows the defense. Jr's been playing well the last 2 years when healthy too.

Yeah, if he is willing to play for no salary.

i sure hed play for cheap, he is good friends with zach thomas, likes the vets on defense, has to want to be a part of what we built here the last couple years. Why not? the only reason I could see him not wanting to is if we dont offer him a starting role. but if we go into the season with hodge projected starter still, why not junior? Why not let him retire here like he said he wanted to?

does anyone know about sharper? maybe no arrington, as unfortunate as that would be, could end up being sharper and walker? or maybe mr. law, or woodson as a safety

I like Junior too, and he can still play great when healthy. That's the only problem. He most likely will miss a chunk of the season with injuries. The mind is willing, the heart is there, but is the body able to hold up? I know all players get injured, but I'm talking about substantial time missed probably.
Still, he's so good, and the other players will benefit from him being around for chemistry and work ethic, it's worth the risk. Sign him cheap.
Does this save a draft choice? I think not. We need to draft a young LB this year even if we keep Junior. That way he can learn from Junior as well as Zach. Talk about learning at the feet of the master X 2.

stick a fork in him he's done. Good guy, great career, he's done. Why would you want to let the dinosaur take the place of a player that WILL be a part of our future. Junior is a Charger, it is not OUR job to accommodate his retirement.

Maybe there is a reason no one has offered him a contract? Is he even recovered from last year's injury?

I wouldn't preclude him signing before camp but I think his mind is now writing checks his body can't cash!
