is he really tring out for the dolphins, Did he play football in college? :cooldude:

Its on the main page, under 'Odds and Ends...' in the news section

Pending physical he will sign with Vikings I am willing to bet. Unless the Vikings don't want him. He's almost 300 pounds and he was clocked at 4.6 in the 402 months or so ago.

Lesnar never played football in college. He may be muscular but that isn't a good reason to sign him. Why don't we just sign those guys from the World's Strongest Man Competition on ESPN while we are at it. We shouldn't waste our team with guys who have never played football before and now want to get into it. Lesnar will probably fail a drug test and I doubt someone who has never played football before could do anything in the NFL.

lesnar isn't like those strong man guys....this guy has quite a bit of athleticism....in wrestlemania 19 he did a back flip off the top rope....

i just read an article about lesnar and this is what tony dungey had to say about lesnar.....

"Obviously, he's strong enough, flexible enough, big enough and quick enough to do it," said Indianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy, who tried to sign Lesnar out of college when Dungy was head coach at Tampa Bay. "And winning an NCAA heavyweight title is harder than playing defensive line. So who knows? The only question is he's 26. How long will it take for him to learn how to play the game?"

here's the whole article

I know he's fast, but big and fast does not equal NFL success. He has never played football in his life, and now he thinks he can just go into the NFL and play. Just because he is a good athlete doesn't mean he will be a good football player. There is a lot more to being a good DE (which I think is the position he wants to play) or good at any other position in the NFL then being big and fast.

actually he has played football....he use to play in high school....not sure the position he played there.....i do agree with you though....it takes more than that to play pro sports.....the's big, athletic, fast and has the work ethic so he has all the physical abilities to do it.....the big question about him is going to be how fast he can pick up the mental side of it.....for his sake i hope he can pick it up quick (unless he signs with a rival, then i hope he has a head of rocks)

Dante

At least he has some knowledge of the game......Derrick Rodgers never played high school football and then went on to play Flag Football in the Air Force (which is real crappy competition by the way) and then went onto college and now he's in the NFL.

I will poo my pants and eat them online if Lesner actually makes an NFL roster.

He may have had a chance if he was 20-22, but he is 26 and WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY behind in the learning curve. By the time he digests the NFL methods he'll be in his freakin 30's!

p.s. i'm not willing to eat poo.... haha

And those backflips will really help him in his attempt to sack Brett Favre.

I played high school football, I wonder if I can get a try-out in the NFL too?
