I was just wondering about Brohm. I remember last draft everyone was saying he'd be the man this year, but he's only kinda, maybe, sorta this year. I don't watch any TV for the lack of one, so I have no clue how he performed. What's the deal?

i like him if a miracle happen he will fall to the second round i would love that him or Andre' Woodson if him or Brohm fall we have to take one of them

He's got the tools and I don't think he'll drop to the second round. I think we're going Chris Long but if Parcells, Ireland, and Sparano want to have their own QB project, Brohm and Ryan should be on their short list.

Top 5 or 10 guy. Some drafts have him as number 1 overall.

I'm not sure if he has the NFL "it".

H's injury prone and I have some pretty serious questions about his arm.

Nah he really isn't injury prone at all. He broke his thumb on his throwing hand last year and that was all. He started and played every game this year. The only reason I know that is because I am in the Drumline at U of L. He has all the tools you look for. Everyone is on Matt Ryan but he threw like what 18 picks this year. Brohm refined his game by only throwing like 8 all year AND 30+ td'S. REAL DEAL.

Agreed!! I say draft DL but if you are going to nab a QB Brohm is your man. Jim Kelly type passer that stays in the pocket. Quick Release and he can throw the long ball just fine.

...and when he has to he can put some mustard on it. I have absolutely no concerns about his arm strength.

no sir, he also tore his acl and his hand injury was not his thumb, he broke his hand...the hand required surgery for which he sat out a month

As I said in the other thread, I think the injury thing has been laid to rest. He tore his ACL a couple of years ago, which now a days can happen to any athlete, at anytime. He was just fine the next year. He hurt some ligaments in his thumb on his throwing hand when a UM Lineman tackled him and almost stepped on his hand. It required a minor surgery and he came back from it TWO WEEKS EARLY. Fast healer. He had some minor surgery on his non-throwing shoulder during last off season. Nothing unusual.

He made it through this entire year without injury, despite being hit more times than any of his previous years and throwing more passes than previous years.

As far as arm strength, well all I can say is that it isn't any weaker than Beck's. And it has improved this year over last. He worked on it over the summer and it showed. There was times this year that he threw some lasers. Harder and faster than I've seen him throw his whole career. Does he have JeMarcus Russell-freakish arm strength? No. Is it above average? Yes.

I think you're going to see him test off the charts at the combine and overtake Ryan as the #1 QB.

Do I think we're going to draft him? No. I think our #1 will be on Chris Long or Gholston, if he impresses at the combine. Jake Long isn't a left tackle and you simply can't take a right tackle as the overall #1. I don't think Dorsey is a nose tackle for a 3 - 4 scheme.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Well, we'll have to agree to disagree. ;)

As for Dorsey, much like Jay Ratliff and Kelly Gregg, Dorsey could play NT quite easily. But in a 3-4, you'd want him at NT, both end spots and the 3 technique when you shift the formation around. After all, we're almost certainly going to run a hybrid.

So at 300 lbs, Dorsey would be ok playing NT in a 3 - 4 scheme? Yeah I guess we would have to run a hybrid as there's no way we would have the personel to go 3 - 4 full time.

Dorsey just weighed in at 6-2 and 316 in Mobile.

;)
