Broncos | Have not talked to Dolphins about Williams

Updating ongoing reports, Adam Schefter, of the <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/77/nfl">NFL Network, reports while the Denver Broncos have had internal conversations about trying to trade for Miami Dolphins RB Ricky Williams, the Broncos have not talked with the Dolphins about Williams' availability as of yet.

Anyone else think dealing with the Eagles directly might be best? The Eagles could offer Miami something like two of their 4th rounders, plus a 3rd which is the same value as a mid 2nd rounder which Miami is aiming for and they'd still have another 4th rounder left. Then we make them toss T.O. in the deal and rework his contract to guarantee a few dollars here and there so it becomes cheaper and shorter.

So all in all a 3, 4, 4, T.O.- Ricky

is a better value then just Denver's 2nd.

m not willing to part with Ricky if it is not for the Broncos 1st Ricky is a hell of a back and a proven one too.You give your first we give you Ricky you dont and we keep Ricky.Alot of people haven't sat down and thought how much of a mentor Ricky can be to Brown

Umm, I don't mean to be picky here....but what the h*** is this?? Denver did talk to Miami about Ricky, but didn't ask if he were avalible?? OK, I guess the two different times the Broncos talked to Miami (according to the Herald) it was about Ricky's favorite color, food he likes, his favorite movie?? Sounds to me someone is reporting BS!! Who is it??

it means inside the broncos organizatoin they've talked about trying to acquire ricky... but they haven't spoken to the dolphins yet...

and i dont think they would either, the offseason hasn't officially begun yet...

maybe we could start a Ricky for TO thread. Betcha a nickel that would be fresh.

What it REALLY provs is that SABAN's approach of not having his assistants talk to the press is the ONLY way to run a business.

SHANAHAN can't be happy to know that the moment he discusses trade possiblities with his own staff that it becomes headline news!

SABAN is completely justified in boxing the press out here in Miami.

Or else he could be facing what SHANAHAN is facing right now, every team in the NFL KNOWS what he's thinking.

Not good.

this is good news for those of us that want Ricky to stay....

the people that start the Ricky to Denver rumors are Broncos fans themselves....they know they are getting the better of the deal

I think Shefter is right....he covered the Broncos for the Denver Post before he went to ESPN....none of the Denver papers have indicated a real interest in Ricky, unlike TO.

yeah not surprised. broncos might of talked about him inside the organization, but until they actually meet lets hold off on the trade talks.

they will never sit down and think cause THEY JUST HATE RICKY.

their judgment is clouded. thank god they are not running this team cause they would have dumped ricky for 2 7th round draft picks.

i would take a first, but if edge and shaun couldn't get seconds, then no way we get a first or second for ricky.

Hey just to throw this out there. What if the Broncos talk trade for Jason Taylor? What would you guys think about that? He easily is worth their last first round pick and he does serve a need for them. Remeber they got no pass rush from the front four vs. Pittsburgh.

There is still time, but i continue to think the biggest obstacle in the Broncs dealing with us for Ricky is their desire to get T.O. They dont want both.
