Well a 5th is out of the question. They gave up their 5th to Detriot in the exchange for Dre Bly....so it'd probably be a 6th...

The broncos do have (2) 4th round picks in the trade for Jake Plummer.....but I highly doubt they would give up a 4th for Harrington when they know he could possibly be released.

Nobody is dumb enough to trade for Harrington if they know he's about to be released. Oops, I mean nobody is dumb enough except Saban.

Nevermind.....Plummer has decided to retire

Broncos | Plummer retires

John Murphy, of Yahoo! Sports, reports Denver Broncos QB Jake Plummer has opted to retire instead of going to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers via trade.

does this mean that our boy sage may make a victorious return to miami that is a great thought even if i give it up to myself here. joey for sage what a deal.

roll out the red carpet
and strike up the band

sage the rage comes home and leads us to a super bowl what else is there to say ?

kidding but what if we traded joey to houston for sage that would not sit so well with my dolphin brethren would it ?

serriously we should bring in garcia and then draft 3 olinemen and 2 wrs then sign porter and the other guy what was his name now , i forgot .

Send Harrington out there quick before they lose interest in him

Word is Harrington is going nowhere. Cam likes him and wants him to compete for the starting job. They are just restructuring his contract and bonus. can't give up my sources but they are close to the situation.

Just release Joey Bring in trent Green As BAck Up QB
Trent Green is scheduled to make $7.5 million this year so he will probably be asking more than $4 mill. At least that is what Pat Kirwin said today on NFL radio.
But, we should get whatever we can for Joey.

The Cardinals need a #2 or #3. John Navarre is gone and Curt Warner has been just horrible the last few years. I don't think that thumb injury ever really healed.

The Cards are also pathetically weak on the defensive line. They might give us something for Harrington and Wilkinson. Even if it was just to move up in the second round.

Good to read a post with some common sense. Why would we get rid of the best QB we had on the field last year. Harrington 5-6 as starter (including 5-3 in last 8 starts) vs. Culpepper / Lemon 1-4.

The Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News report that if either Jeff Garcia, Brad Johnson, and Anthony Wright is not available to back up Jay Cutler, the Broncos may be interested in signing Joey Harrington.

Ok, Jeff Garcia is one thing. Brad Johnson, at his age, is questionable. But really, he's behind Anthony Wright in their pecking order?

This could explain why Joey has not been released. If he was going to be released (no matter what) he would have been gone by now.

Either a trade is being worked or as this suggest they're restructuring his contract. I prefer the restructure. Keep the QBs we have and groom a rookie. We have to stabilize the offensive side of the team. We can't do this if we keep switching QBs.
