ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) -- The Denver Broncos have released former first-round pick Jarvis Moss, who never lived up to high expectations under coaches Mike Shanahan or Josh McDaniels.
Moss had just 40 tackles and 4 1/2 sacks in 33 games over 3 1/2 seasons in Denver after Shanahan used the 17th-overall pick of the 2007 draft to select him out of Miami.
He moved from defensive end to outside linebacker when McDaniels arrived last year and implemented a 3-4 scheme, but found no more success. His illegal block negated a late touchdown against San Francisco in the Broncos' 24-16 loss in London last month.
Moss was released on the same day pass rusher Robert Ayers returned to practice for the first time since fracturing a foot against Baltimore on Oct. 10.

not sure if any has posted this or not, thought I would seeing as how he has a connection to Mike Nolan. Maybe we add him for depth since we were looking at Merriman?

I'm trying to remember the last highly rated Gators player that I actually liked. I'm having a real hard time. I didn't even like Joe Haden that much.

I guess I really liked Major Wright a lot but was he highly rated?

I'm a Vols fan....so I can't think of many that I have ever liked! Channing Crowder has soured me on Florida players for some reason

Oh, yeah I guess I really liked Brandon Spikes a lot. He's doing OK.

But I mean the most highly rated Gators players year after year...Jarvis Moss, Derek Harvey, Carlos Dunlap, Markice Pouncey, Joe Haden, that one WR that the Patriots ended up drafting, Tim Tebow...none of them really did it for me like they did for others.

Spikes and Percy Harvin are the only two I can think of

I didn't particularly like Percy. I still think he's a nutcase and a walking injury report.

I really, really liked Joe Haden... didn't like ANY of the other Crocs mentioned in this thread...

Certainly none of the QB's or WR's from the Spurrier era either... except for Jacquez Green... I liked that kid...

Chad Jackson.

I don't like any of the players from the Gators. They seem to go the same way the Ohio State players do. A few good seasons, maybe 5, and then a drastic drop off with a few exceptions. A lot of overhyped players that do nothing in the NFL for the most part, JMO.

I don't like many Gator players at all. The system is what made the difference in the swamp, speed speed speed. Sometimes you need a bull with strength.

Crowder on the other hand isn't doing any more or any less then he was touted to do out of college. In fact if you go back and read his daft card it is pretty much spot on with his NFL career

Spikes and Percy Harvin are the only two I can think of

Cunningham [rookie drafted after Misi - 21 tackles /1 sack not great but starts] and Aaron herndenzes [TE - 436 rec yds/2 2TD] rookies in AFC east.
