Brooks and Brewer All Pro's

Yeah, my question as well. If they bring in McCarthy then Brewer is probably fine and still a good fit. If they want to bring in someone that wants to be more physical in the trenches, he may not stick.
Brewer fit the McMoron scheme perfectly and his play was outstanding. Conversely when he played in the Titans scheme, he sucked and was beaten like a rag doll. It's quite amazing how he was like 2 different players. Perhaps, if McMoron gets the Titans job, he tries to bring Brewer back there. I guess we just have to wait to see what kind of offense the Fins are going to run.

Question for those of you who understand OL scheme and that stuff better than me:

So you’re ALL saying he wouldn’t fit in a more traditional power scheme… does that mean if we had 4 average or better maulers on the line he couldn’t mesh well? And/or mask his deficiencies?

I'd like to try Savi at center...his pass blocking deficiencies could be masked at center, is athletic enough and strong in run blocking. He looked terrible at LG and I'm not sure he'd fare much better at RG.
The Center is the leader of the O-Line, who is supposed to make sure everyone is lined up correctly, read defenses, snapping etc. Do you really want a guy who hasn't proven he can even tie his shoelaces at starting Center?

Go back and read how the Titan fans couldn't wait to get him out of town. He was bull rushed and was just not any good.

I was just posting my view on him as a player. I didn't open any door to discussing possible HC hires. There are already multiple threads with ppl stating the same thing eleventeen times.

At least that how I see the difference.
And I was doing the same, by pointing out that if we continue to run outside zone he is absolutely worth paying. Whats the difference between that and pointing out his weakness as a center runner power vs a 0 tech?

The difference is, I wasn't commenting about his future here being tied to a perspective HC candidate.

It's not worth arguing over. I was just attempting to keep this thread from drifting into the subject matter of several existing, current threads.

Lol that's funny...I'm looking at from the perspective of how can we utilize this 2nd round pick before he gets cut, because LG ain't it, which probably means RG ain't it either.

I'd rather have the all pro.. pro bowl is just a popularity contest.. mac Jones made it.. that tells you all ..

Now what's up with Achane's snub.. ?
And Bijan made it twice as first team RB and
Second team multi purpose ? What the hell is that ?
I was expecting him to see him at least as the all purpose second team then saw Bijans name again and I had to scroll up to confirm I saw him on the first team.
To me these specialty awards are given to spread the awards among other deserving players not to have some collect multiple ones.
Yes it is absolutely ridiculous that Achane only received 3 votes for All-Pro all purpose back utterly ridiculous.

You pointed out his weakness I was merely was ponting out his strengths Sounds good, I guess I should've just pointed out that he is the best Center in the NFL at running the outside zone rather than mentioning other teams that have a lot of success running it as well.

Like I said, NBD. Not worth arguing about.

So we gonna just ignore that brewer is terrible in pass pro I take it?

Humphrey is way better all around and not anywhere near as scheme specific.

Anyways 290 lb center and 185 lb lead backs need to go if we gonna change our identity.

No, not for what his market value will be and value to teams that run an outside zone scheme. Brewer would not have a lot of success vs a 0 tech, he doesn't have the size. He needs to be able to pull and move in open space. This doesn't take away from his worth nor hos amazing progression over his career. I personally just don't think he has the genetics to play in a power scheme.

People however confuse this with calling him a finesse player and that is an absolute ignorant statement. He absolutely is a dog and a mailer in space.
