It wasn't until the game had ended, until after Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown already had showered, when he realized why his body didn't feel overly bruised or battered.

That's when it clicked: Brown only carried the ball twice during the second half of his team's most recent loss.

''You know what? I don't really know,'' said Brown, asked Friday why he didn't have more touches after the first half. ``At first, I didn't even realize it. But I think we got a little antsy, trying to put some points on the board.''

To be clear, Brown wasn't complaining about the Dolphins' decision to call 18 passing plays and four running plays during the second half. He noted he understood the need for clock management last week.

well i will tell you what, if brown doesnt run more then 20 times against the titans then we need a new O cordinator cus brown is a monster

If Brown doesn't run more he won't be able to get into a rythym. He wears down defenders and gets better in the second half. Mularkey is an idiot if he doesn't utilize him that way.

He was averaging more than 4.5 yards in the first half last week. I'm not saying we should horse his *** like Wannstedt did Ricky. But come on man. If he was able to manage 70 yards on only 15 carries, imagine what he would do with 28 to 30 carries.

I agree he could have seen a few more carries. Especially when the Dolphin pass offense was flailing anyway. With the constant sacks at least. I think Mularkey was just anxious to catch up to the Bills on the scoreboard and turned to the pass too soon. Though i dont even know if i'd say that, because it's not like this team has taken many shots down field at all really.....And coming into the season i expected that frequently.

Or if he doesn't run more maybe we can get him some catches on screen passes or something. He just needs to touch the ball more in the game.

Running Ronnie more in the second half would have actually given us a better chance to beat Buffalo than putting the ball in Culpepper's hands. DC was obviously out of sync that day and taking pressure off him would have been smart.

1st saban should take over the play calling!!!!
2nd if we would take shots down field now like we did last year omg we would be dominating in my opinion!!!!
3rd If RB doesnt get more than 25 carries im goona call up saban and ask him for the change of o cordinators!!!

vg, :yeahthat:

Well, when you go 3 and out almost every drive, it is kind of hard to mix in more pass and run plays. Ronnie would have the touches he needs to get 100, his average last week was 4.65 a carry. The problem is the passing downs are getting the offense no-where and they need to punt. The offense is pretty bland right now and maybe this game against Tennessee will light a fire under the offense *** and maybe the next few weeks could get exciting with a little more confidence.

True. Mularkey made a big strategic mistake in giving him the ball only twice in the 2nd half. They weren't down 16-0 until the 4th quarter. Even a 10-0 or 13-0 deficit should not be cause for panic. They should have stuck to the running game and mixed things up. Who knows maybe it would have tired Buffalo's undersized D-line and he may have busted a long one for a TD. We'll never know.

Getting anxious when you are only down by 2 scores with a quarter and a half to play is the sign of a bad coach.

Yea I miss Scotty. We should run a lot and then go deep. Hello we have the biggest arm in the league! Playaction would really work with us. I agree Ronnie should get at least 20-25 carries this week. I also think Ronnie running a lot should get Culpepper going.

I'm guessing he would have easily gotten over 130 yards rushing.
Mularkey better start unleashing Brown, I'm not saying pull a Wanstache, but give him 25 touches.
