I know its early but after watching McGahee a number of times this year and last year and watching Brown in two games this year, I thought it would be interesting to compare the two.

McGahee is an amazing inside runner with great vision and an ability to see and hit small holes. I think he will be a consistent workhorse back for many years. What I don't see from McGahee is the breakaway speed that he had in college. At this point, I don't think is it coming back. He is a bigger more powerful back than he was in college.

Brown has shown flashes of the vision necessary to be a great back, but hasn't been as consistent as McGahee. Brown has shown better speed and is more effective bouncing to the outside. He also has better hands. As the season moves on, he will catch passes down the field.

I think Brown will be the more complete back. Just my opinion.

I think Ronnie Brown has everything you would want in a RB, but you obviously havnt watched McGahee because his best runs come when Bounces them to the outside. Recently he has been getting more physical and running inside the tackles, which has made him more complete, but He bounces it outside as good as any RB in the NFL and he does it very often. His 50+ yarder called back against you guys this year was when he bounced it outside. His long run last year when he stiff armed your saftey into next week was when he bounced the play outside.

Again, Ronnie Brown is going to be a great player, but your view of McGahee is not correct.

Also, to the Mods of this board, How did I get banned from posting in the Dolphin message board? I never said a thing or got into it with anyone to get banned. I think thats BS. I didnt do or say a thing.

McGahee is the better back as of right now, but I believe Ronnie will be the better long term back. I am not saying McGahee will fall off the earth, but I think Brown will be a more dominate overvall back.

I'd still take McGahee right now, but i can really feel Ronnie is going to start to heat up over these next few weeks.

They are both monsters and will continue to be monsters...who know who will end up with a better career...IMHO they both have very simular skill sets.

They're both talented backs and right now Mcgahee is better and more developed BUT ronnie is what, two years behind him.

Sorry, but I have watched McGahee. I live near Buffalo and watch most of their games. He has good vision and usually makes the right decision about when to bounce it outside, but he lakes the footspeed to be one of the best at it. He is simply not fast enough. McGahee's effectiveness at getting the corner is due to his stiff arm and very good body lean. He is very difficult to cut down low. I have never seen him out run CBs. He is often caught by LBs.

Brown already has two runs that are longer than McGahee's career long.

I remember when the Bills drafted him and everyone was stunned and then started laughing. Me...I was crying...because I KNEW he was the real deal and would be a great player for many years to come.
