Browns trade Dilfer for Dorsey

I think when Cleveland talked to Detroit about Harrington, that really upset Dilfer and basicly forced him out.

I think this is a win-win. I am happy for Dorsey.

IMHO he has been developing quite well despite the lack of talent surrounding him in SF.

I expect he will win the starting job in Cleveland, hopefully Winslow and Edwards will mend quickly and help him out.

win the starting job? i mean i like dorsey as much as the next guy, but frye is the new guy in cleveland, dorsey isn't taking that from him... but i think he has developed decently though...

At least Dorsey has shown that he is capable of stepping in and leading an NFL offense when he needs to. He was the best QB on the 49ers last year, not that that says anything at all.

Dorsey will win the starting job in Cleveland. He has developed pretty well with bad coaching in San Francisco. In Cleveland, he will have weapons like Kellen Winslow (a TE he worked with back in UM), Braylon Edwards, Joe Jurevicious, and Reuben Droughs. They also fixed that offensive line with additions like OT Kevin Shaffer and LeCharles Bentley. Cleveland is headed on the right direction.

The Browns got the better of the deal...Trent did nothing for the Browns last year, he was like Jay Fiedler, he would have one good game...then it followed with three bad ones.
Ken Dorsey is a young guy who needed a change of scenery and will get a chance to play, but it will be Charlie Frye who will be starting on opening day, they guy is very mobile, has a good arm and just needs some experience.

IMO this deal is a mirror image of the Feeley/Lemon deal
send the guy with a pricy contract out and get a 3rd stringer and a pick

even tho we didnt get a pick the chargers did

that would tickle me to no end. I've always liked Dorsey, thought he was a gamer. I think if nothing else he will be set up to succeed, and he won't have to try and carry the team. He is better off now at Clevland, maybe than ever before in the NFL

my friend that is a san fran fan tried to tell me that the 9ers got a good qb and that Dilfer was a huge improvment and the 9ers are gonna be decent this year....I laughed in his face.....
